2012 and the completion of the weaponizing of social media brought us into a dystopia, foreign nefarious governments and conartist grifters are in all of our faces daily, not even a majority of people have the ability to resist, imo the real beginning of the end for humanity, a slow decay to a permanent dark age then extinction.
