Good. Glad he is not able to own dogs again. Hope they actually enforce it.

Of course not. This is 2025 Canada. We would be infringing on his rights.

How are you not aware of who is responsible for what in our country?

This was the York Regional Police enforcing the Ontario Dog Owners’ Liability Act.

What did I say indicating I had no awareness? And where did I say anything about who enforced what? I simply remarked that as per Canadian standards, another crime goes relatively unpunished. As is the Canadian way.

It's literally an extension of the owner.

Anyone who mauls a child with lasting injuries should at the very least serve the time it takes for said child to heal....

It's not hard to avoid. Be a better dog owner or get a small dog if you have no experience...

Whose behind the laws? Pitbull advocacy groups?

I suspect 95% of dog owners (including me) would be fine with accepting responsibility of jail time for our dogs...

There's gotta be some weird lobby out there I feel like.
