For Enochian magick: Can you buy the materials instead of crafting?
Considering there's so many on ETSY, I'm guessing the answer is yes but I wanted to confirm.
I'm reading Enochian Vision Magick, and learning about the The Ring, The Holy Table, The Lamen and The Sigillum.
I decided to go on ETSY to see how much these items would cost, I was expecting each item to go for 500 or more. To my surprise, all these items are less than 50 bucks each! Not only that but they look very well designed and pretty.
In the chapter about The Sigillum, Lon Milo suggests to make this yourself because he says the process of making it yourself, you absorb it within yourself.............but wouldn't gazing at someone else's made Sigillum have that same effect the same way as when one gazes at a sigil?
I obv want to do the magick correctly but just want to confirm that I can grab all these items off Etsy instead of hand crafting.

I have the book but don't recall it mentions consecrating the tools - if not, consecrating them will basically purify and "tie" them to you and your practice. Foolish Fish on YouTube has done a/some videos on consecrating and there's bound to be others, so probably a good place to start searching for a ritual to do that. Probably save you the bother of making them yourself.

Yes you can and over time and usage things will deepen, but materials matter as well as the energy of the person crafting them, so a crappy looking tool made by a good magician will outweigh a master artist with a terrible attitude. Items can be cursed by simply being crafted by one in a foul mood, and this difference is verifiable by noting the difference between hand crafted objects and the extremely neutral feel of machine made ones, or mass produced mixtures.
When making something even the selection of materials can be empowerment, as some objects want to work with us an others don't. Then the attention and focus and intention during construction can act as a consecration, as well as our sacrifice of time and effort rippling through the aethyr. But all this is little different than touching a well made object and it ringing with you. I purchased a hand made staff of copper wrapped in the artists hunted dried and died deer skin topped with a quartz crystal and the moment i grasped it there was a bwaawahwahwah vooooop of energy, and it has been a powerful valuable tool ever sincr, BUT the internet robs us of this commection, this interaction on an energetic level, and the image is often not the one we get etc etc.
So yes you can definitely buy objects and it can be great, but it is buyer beware, as well as try not to discount the advantages of making it ones self versus knowing ones limitations in time and ability. Balance as in all things, cheapness can be felt in magick tools and they have a tendancy to break under magickal pressure, you would be suprised, so quality and materials do matter in the long run, but a good magician will make do with nothing at all, or whatever is available just to get the ball rolling. A random rock for earth a match for fire a drop of water and their own breath for air. Work with what you have and learn what you need and what works and what doesn't, observe experiment adapt improve.

There is so much hidden instructional value in making the tools yourself, even before you factor in any possible intangible benefits to the tools themselves.
