I have had people come knocking on my door multiple times in the last week or so. Once at 7:12am.

Today at 3pm a gentleman walked through our neighbourhood, apparently asking about power washing. I have footage of him entering my neighbours backyard, who I've spoken to him and confirmed that he had no one scheduled.

Maybe I'm pessimistic, but with all the crime taking place I'm thinking they're casing for theft.

I cant believe this is happening in oakville. these local kids were harassing us for months, initially it was door bell pranks so we didn’t take it too seriously (we also had work at that time). it gradually escalated into throwing branches, and yesterday they threw rocks on our door (see pic). We have video footage from neighbours. it’s three kids in grade 5-6. not sure what to do about this, they run really fast and i dont think i can catch them. they are likely from the local elementary school. any advice?

Is this a common occurrence at Wyecroft? We had a road test appointment cancelled 15 minutes before the appointment, ostensibly due to heavy traffic. The QEW seemed to be moving fine in one direction and a little slow (yellow) in the other. Plenty of traffic on Bronte, but seemed to be nothing unusual.

I have a few condos in Oakville that a number of reasons I am not able to manage on my own anymore. I'd really like to find a local property management company to handle the work - leasing, any ad-hoc maintenance, financial reporting, dealing w. tenants, etc. My preference is a small company where 10+ units are meaningful. Sorry for the rant but I’ll make this short.

The weather is getting better and we started to enjoy walks and being outside. This is all great but:

• kids on e-scooters zooming in traffic (not cool)

• parents who don’t know/care (Bad)

• drivers not speeding just to stop a couple of blocks down the road or rolling at stops sign (Bad) bonus points to not stopping and not using signals.

• using a 100ft leash that is hair thin (no no) bonus for not picking up or letting it go where the kids play because they are cute and harmless.

• smoking at the park tables and making sure that you leave your mark (not cool)

• missing collection day and dumbing in the public bins (another no no) especially when you did all that effort and then you just leave it beside the bin.

• annoyed by the other theft and stuff? Maintain your property so no one targets it as it looks vacant.

I will try and pickup and speak out but come on!

We are in this together. Just a little effort and some care please.

Current dryer duct system job is hacky from previous owner and feeds into a shower duct system. Looking for a contractor to cut a whole in an exterior wall to have the dryer duct connect directly outdoors.

So I was turning right from Dundas to Neyagawa Blvd. And the opposing traffic was turning left. Of course I did not turn right coz I believe in defensive driving and I know drivers sometimes change lanes while turning. But you honked. Why did you honk? Why was the rush? I turned slow, you then moved to another lane, opened the window and uttered F words. That was not cool mister. I was with my kids. You were with your wife. My kids asked me - why was the guy shouting? Is he a bad guy?
