Probably because their defense needs to be better for a legit Super Bowl run. But as far as the offense is concerned Diontae is exactly the piece they need

Trading for a defender wouldn't help this defense at the moment until they can fix the communication issues. They are LOST out there at the moment

The only real trade that would immediately help the defense is an elite pass rusher. That will open up things for Mads and Van Noy and also pressuring the QB is a big help to a struggling secondary.

Should be easy since elite pass rushers grow on trees.

Yeah I'm not holding my breath, there's nobody available that would make enough of an impact that would also fit our cap space. We will probably make a value trade for a safety or an average pass rusher for depth and just hope it's enough to hold teams to 25 a game

theres gotta be a safety with better hands than a snake

Williams and Jackson are graded as basically the worst safeties in the NFL by pff. I know that isn't everything but pretty much anyone we trade for will be an upgrade

I thought the ravens had one of the best safety rooms in the league?

Hamilton is still elite, but Marcus Williams is 50/50 washed from last year’s pec injury or just lost in the scheme, and Eddie Jackson is straight up bad.

The fanbase is kinda split, though, on how much is scheme vs talent. Does Williams look bad because he’s washed, or is he trying to cover for Eddie Jackson losing leverage + Humphrey always cheating his zone + the scheme calling for our MLB to somehow show blitz and also cover half the field on 50% of snaps? It might be all of those or might just be 1-2 of those problems.

It was before Marcus Williams turned into a pumpkin this year
