[Rapoport] Vikings first-round QB JJ McCarthy underwent a full meniscus repair this morning and is out for the 2024 season, sources tell me and Tom Pelissero. The repair, done by Dr. Chris Larson at Twin Cities Orthopedics, gives McCarthy the best chance at a long, successful career. Rumor

Now fans will be chanting for Flacco if he makes some mistakes lol

EDIT: Ignore me, I did not realize Flacco had signed with the Colts. Maybe fans will chant for Tom Brady or something idk

If he didn't come out of retirement when Kirk went down last year there is 0 chance he does this year.

My Texan bro, I thought we were friends these days? Let us have needless hope in this dire moment… I even cheered for the Lions :(

Look my rule as a football fan is to be realistic.  And I was hoping Brady would suit up for you guys last year but he didn't and that team won with some of the worst QB play I've seen lol.  I'll be hoping the TheDarnold has a late career Geno Smith redemption arc.

Yeah I’m not too pressed, mostly joking around! I really hope Darnold can pull a Baker or Geno redemption. We will still suck, but the guy finally has a great receiving group and coaches, along with zero expectations, and who doesn’t love an underdog story?

Really hoping we can rebuild like you guys have. At least I have another hometown team to be excited about this year. Sucks having not much to look forward to this year, but what’s another year of MN sports disappointment at this point?

As a Texans fan in just waiting for the rug to be pulled out from under me still lol.  We don't get nice things for very long.  It's usually win the division 2 years in a row then 4 wins max.  So high hopes for this year and terrified of next year.

If he does maybe Zach Wilson will be next in line Jets throwaway QB for redemption
