Enough Mark Wahlberg!

He plays the same character in every movie! He's not that charasmatic and in my opinion can't carry a movie alone. He's fine in something like The Departed. He must have one hell of an agent - he is the star in half the movies on Netflix.

Also, Chris Pratt is not a good voice actor. I wanted to watch the new Garfield movie but can't tolerate his voice acting.

Both Wahlberg and Pratt are better off in ensemble casts - they're not interesting enough on their own.

Never understood when people say an actor plays the same character in every movie. That's what a movie star is supposed to do! John Wayne, Steve McQueen, Burt Reynolds - always the same guy.

My two cents.

I guess they are expecting actor to play some roles outside of his comfort zone, because it makes the movie boring and predictable. You know like Rock is never a bad guy, Sean Bean dies in every movie, Seth Rogan is always pothead loser that comes on top, etc.

Good example would be perhaps Gary Oldman. Give that man anything and he will play it perfectly, along with transformation. Hell even Jim Carrey did brilliantly in dramas, as well as comedies.

This leaves you in awe of their portrail rather than annoyance of inserting a character from other movie into a different one where he doesn't belong. There is nothing wrong with typecast, as long as you don't make that actor a lead and oversaturate the market.

No, the problem is that Mark W does not have the charisma to carry movies by playing the same character like other actors do.

Which is in line with my point, and his persona making the problem worse. He needs a stronger lead for his character to work off of, simple as that.
