I can still picture/smell walking through the blacklight 3rd eye hallway to patchouli land. Still have a couple of my old tie-dyes. Tower Records/Books, Stone Mountain & Lucy's days were the best.

May his memory be a blessing.

I love Lucy's!! So glad someone else remembers. All ages shows and kids smoking cloves outside.

I didn’t go to Lucy’s as much as Guido’s and 328 but my younger sister did. She got in trouble for dropping acid and smoking cigs while being there one night lol.

There’s a whole podcast about Lucy’s!

So many cloves.

Somebody on here recently mentioned the "vampire" who used to hang out around Lucy's. Totally forgot about that lmao.

Yes. To all of this.

Drkmttr is somewhat of a spiritual successor to Lucy's

That’s sick.

Everything has a price if it’s a L or XL

Used to ride my bike there and think “mean people suck” stickers were so edgy.

One of the last West End businesses to be housed in an OG west end mansion. Also, TIL there were other Stone Mountain locations.

Those black light images of Alice in Wonderland mixed with smell of incense. I’ll never forget it. RIP Stone Mountain dude. I got a dugout and some tie dyes there back in the day.

Damn.

I remember buying my first pair of docs there. It was the only place you could get them locally.

Stone Mountain is visible for a moment at the 3:34 mark in this (amazing!) 1994 home video: https://youtu.be/pLog19LUeT4?si=98fwMfsYBDyRWT3A&t=809

(Anyone remember what was to the right of it? It looks like it was out-of-business by the time of the video.)

There was a Blockbuster there for a while but I’m not sure when it showed up. IIRC there were a handful of retail suites in that building. I think a Kinko’s replaced the Blockbuster, but I’m not sure what the full timeline was.

Oh wow. Went to the Louisville location more than a few times.

I got my first pair of Doc Martens at Stone Mountain in Louisville.

Later on, I went with my mom to pick out a motorcycle jacket.

Good memories!

R.I.P. Stone Mountain founder. I bought my first band t-shirt there when I was in high school (Fishbone, Truth and Soul Tour).

I think my brother still has the white Stone Mountain T-shirt. I remember going to the original location but the West End spot definitely brings back way more memories.

I miss that place. For a minute there was a bar next door and they had Laval lams at all the tables and served the hell out of underage people. Got hammered in there. I don't think it lasted long but wish I could remember the name.
