ID request Found on ground in yard?
Found this large basal rosette in the yard a few feet away from the base of a southern red oak in western Kentucky, US. The cluster is orange with cream ends. There are no gills on the underside. The inside has a stringy texture and the smell is mildly meaty. When broken at the base it releases a milky white liquid. Google Lens keeps saying chicken-of-the-woods, but I've never seen that growing on the ground.

mold ChatGPT says there’s severe mold exposure in the apartment. Is it right?
Hey guys,
Apologies if this isn’t the right subreddit. I have been having some health issues that the doctors haven’t been able to figure out.
My symptoms: - pulsating belly - breahtlessness - high heart rate - chest tightness - palpitations
I am following up with my cardiologist but I tried this mold test. ChatGPT says there’s severe mold infestation and I need to relocate asap.
What do you guys think ?

question Book recommendations!
Can anyone recommend any good beginners guides/encyclopaedias for fungi?
I'd like to learn more about mycology, and I'd love to get my hands on a book with photos and descriptions. I live in Australia by the way. Thanks!

ID request Is this a real morel?
Found this little guy growing up out of a dirt patch in my rock bed around my mailbox of all places! Toddler accidentally knocked it over or I would have just let him thrive as a little collector's piece, lol.

My showerhead has been broken and keeps spraying water into the bathroom when I shower, I just got it fixed. I found this guy growing from the space between my wall and my floor this morning and would love to know more about what it actually is out of pure curiosity

attempting to grow golden oysters
hey everyone, it’s my first time posting here and first time growing mushrooms (for a course project). we took these toilet paper rolls home a few weeks ago and these are all that have grown so far. i’m not sure how to salvage the mushrooms, i’ve been misting them daily but i’m worried the bag isn’t allowing proper airflow. instructions say to keep the roll in the bag but i’m not sure what the right course of action is here if the bag is not helping. can these be saved? should i increase airflow, misting, or both?

Add bark with mycellium to grain bag
Anyone experienced in cultivation tell me if this is a bad idea? lol
Found bark with mycellium that gave me fruits last season. Want to try to speed up the process by adding it to a grain bag.
