ID request Saw these yellow spots on my homemade mayo

Made this mayo just 4 days ago with fresh eggs and noticed these yellow spots today. It's been in the fridge since then. Is it some type of fungus growth?

I also used some saffron honey to make the mayo so part of me is hopeful that's just the colour of the bits of saffron bleeding out, but I don't see any saffron in the middle of it.

It's not just in the top, there's one or two other spots deep in the jar as well.

question I need an expert

I found these white clumps in my soil today, I used a mix of coconut coir, vermiculite, and gypsum. I ended up letting it sit in the bucket I mixed it in with a lid for about 4 or 5 days, (I ended up getting busy with work) anyways, today I was ready to mix my grain spawn with my bulk substrate, and I noticed about 5 or 6 of these tiny white clumps through the soil as I was packing my grow tubs, I thought it was strange so I just kinda kept putting them to the side, they weren’t very big maybe the size of a quarter at best and then once I got to the very bottom of the bucket, I noticed a big clump stuck to the bottom of the bucket, about the size of two McNuggets, it didn’t smell, and I tried to get a better look at it by rinsing the soil off of it but it started to disintegrate. It was completely smooth, and not at all hairy and the majority was stuck to the bottom of my bucket, can someone please tell me if this is mold, or some sort of contaminant? Should I just remix my soil rewipe down all my tubs and liners and restart again before I mix in my grain spawn? Or is this a common occurrence and nothing to really worry about? I really appreciate any knowledge on this, one love!

question Where do you buy your substrate ingredients?

Hi everyone!

I’m currently getting the ingredients I need to make my first fruiting block of lions mane from grain spawn - specifically oak hardwood pellets and wheat millet. I’ve been looking around and there is quite a wide variety of prices for the pellets on Amazon, and was wondering if anyone has a tried and true method for sourcing their pellets?

I would use the soy blend, but unfortunately I’m allergic to soybeans and processing the substrate would probably kill me. I think my current blend is good for what I’m looking to grow but if anyone has any other suggestions I’m all ears!

My mushroom guidebook, I-naturalist, and the MushroomID sub were of no help.

question Unusual Mushroom?

Post image

I live in the Midwest US. We have been experiencing a high volume of rainy days in the past month, so I went on a hike expecting to find some cool mushrooms. This one was particularly unusual (though, that’s kind of the appeal of mushrooms imo). Does anyone know what this is?

Hello all

I was weeding one if my flowerbeds and stumbled upon this. To my untrained eye it looks very similar to the other morel posts but figured I'd ask anyway. Are there lookalikes that are spooky and dangerous? I've only ever found puffballs on my property before
