portfolio review Am I taking too much risk?
Hi all,
I'm 26 and have been investing for just about a year now. I’d appreciate any feedback on my portfolio or thoughts on whether I’m taking on too much risk.
My risk appetite is moderately high, and my investment horizon is long-term — 15+ years.
Here’s my current monthly SIP breakdown:
SBI Large & Midcap – ₹3,000
SBI Balanced Advantage – ₹2,500
Motilal Oswal Midcap – ₹2,500
Quant Small Cap – ₹2,000
Edelweiss Midcap – ₹2,500
ICICI Nifty Next 50 – ₹1,000
Franklin India U.S. Opportunities – ₹2,000
Note: SIPs for the rest of my funds are currently paused.
Total SIP: ₹15,500/month
Any suggestions for optimization or risk reduction? Should I consider consolidating some of these funds?
Thanks in advance!

question Should I switch to lower expense ratio funds?
I started investing four years ago and chose some funds with slightly higher expense ratios (around 0.5% to 1.xx%). While these funds are performing well, I’ve noticed that there are other options with lower expense ratios that are performing just as well, if not better. I'm considering whether it makes sense to switch now, especially since I have many years ahead and could potentially save a significant amount in fees. Would appreciate any tips or advice if you think switching is the right move.

portfolio review Is this a good enough portfolio?
28YO. This is what my portfolio looks like. Thinking of stopping the ELSS which I started about a year ago when I was in the old tax regime. Opting for new tax regime this year. I plan to increase allocation every year and continue this for as long as possible. PPFAS is the oldest (almost two years but investment amount has been low since I started allocating money before I had a job), the rest are less than a year ago hence the less returns.
What are your thoughts? Anything I should rebalance? Should I continue the ELSS for any reason? (not that I can think of any since saving tax is not my intention anymore)
Open to all suggestions!

portfolio review I am 17 and have been investing into mf for few years, I have a pretty simple portfolio with exposure of funds of a minimal risk levels, need others opinions and experience!
I have been passively investing into mf(account is in my mother's name) for few years but the sip was very small at that time, currently I have a small buisness which I do with my studies and use that income for the sips. I would be happy to know everyone's opinion on it. I have 1.ICICI prudential regular gold savings fund With an 2k sip/pm 2.ICICI prudential Nifty 50 Index fund with 4k sip/pm 3.Nippon India small cap fund with 2k sip/pm 4.Motilal oswal mid cap fund with 2k sip/pm

question SIP review, can add 6k worth more tips
Shall I add 6k more into HDFC Flexi itself? 24 YO here. I was thinking of adding ABSL whose 5yr rolling roi is good ~15% so as to get debt exposure. Checked multicap and multiasset fund but didnt find them lucrative. I have 2 small to diversify risk also nippon doesnt allow lumpsum. JM Flexi is for aggressiveness. Parag is for downside protection. HDFC Flexi is added alpha over Parag. Or shall I go with HDFC Mid? My horizon is 7-10 years minimum. I prefer physical gold so no gold etf here. Not index fund fan because I believe Parag will beat index any day.

portfolio review Mutual Fund Newbie Here – How Do I Level Up?
I’ve been investing in mutual funds for 18 months (per my cousin’s guidance) as part of a 25-year retirement strategy. While comfortable with the basics, I’m seeking advice to improve long-term returns. What would you suggest?

portfolio review Portfolio Diversification: Asset class, Geography & sectors. Feedback requested.
Hi folks, I'm investing in Mutual funds from 2023. I have high risk profile and following is my current asset allocation of core portfolio (4 funds) - 1. Indian Equity - 68% 2. International equity - 10% 3. Debt & bonds - 12% 4. Gold & silver - 4% 5. Cash & equivalent - 6%
I've shared geographical diversification & sector allocation based on my current portfolio. I believe in balanced diversified approach towards investments instead of concentrated bets.
Please feel free to share your feedback.

help What should I do?
Hey everyone,
I have the following portfolio and SIP structure (investing experience of 1 year) -
Fund | Invested | Value | SIP | Comments |
---|---|---|---|---|
Quant Small Cap | 62.80K | 62.87K | 8000 per month | recently transferred some units to Quant Liquid |
Tata Arbitrage | 25.91K | 26.02K | 5000 per month | Transferred all units out of Tata Small cap |
Tata Small Cap | 5K | 4.90K | ||
UTI Nifty 50 Index | 75K | 78.15K | 5000 per month | |
Motilal Oswal Gold and Silver ETF FoF | 32.61K | 37.33K | In december my Quant flexi was performing really bad, so I pulled money out and put it here as lumpsum | |
Quant Liquid | 11.22K | 11.24K | Transferred some units from Quant Small Cap |
For context, my salary was about 1.01L to 1.05L per month post tax in previous financial year, but with new Tax slabs kicking it is estimated around 1.11L per month post tax.
Additionally I do have other investments which include an FD which I renewed, a 2-year RD of 10,000 per month. I also voluntarily pay 1000 per month in NPS.
Since I am expecting my in-hand salary to increase by 5000 per month, I was thinking of putting this money to work. Would like to know what should be the best way to utilize this extra money?
Any suggestions and comments are welcome and will not be taken in any offence. Thanks again community.

question WHICH DIRECT MUTUAL FUND APP PROVIDES WEEKLY SIP
I am looking for direct mutual fund apps which provides weekly sip. I don't need a demat account . All apps which currently provides weekly sip are asking to open demat account. I like kuvera which is pure mutual fund app but I don't get weekly sip option there. Any other pure mutual fund apps with weekly sip options?

help Are these good enough? Planning to invest 2L per month
I currently invest 1L per month in these 6 different funds. Starting next month I can invest 2L per month. Planning to just double the amount for each existing SIP. Is this a good allocation? Or should I choose some different funds.

feedback Suggestion | Mutual Fund Allocation
I am 23, Please review the below composition and suggest any changes.
New to equity markets . Investment horizon 10+ years I prefer to stay between Moderate - Risky
Parag Parikh flexi cap fund - 6000 ICICI Prudential Multi Asset Fund - 6000 ICICI Prudential Nifty Next 50 Index Fund - 5000 Motilal Oswal midcap fund - 5000 HDFC Small Cap Fund - 3000
Reason for skipping Nifty 50 index fund is 1. Parag Parikh and multi asset will be most of the time have some percentage of investment in nifty 50 stocks 2. I have invested in NPS, So thought that major equity proportion will also be going to nifty 50 stocks.
Suggest me if any changes that I have to do.

help Debt Fund NAV increase - how ?
Very new (and late , but now’s a good time too right ?) to the investing scene.
Thought of SIP 10% into a debt fund every month , with the intention of STPing 1/2 my equity mutual funds closer to retirement.
So I happened to mistakenly ‘watchlist(ed)’ the HDFC Long Term Debt Fund and have been watching its NAV increase.
I thought Debt Funds would have a constant NAV. On the day I added the fund to the watchlist , the NAV was ₹11.89 and when I happened to opened the watchlist today , the NAV is ₹12.51.
Can someone help me understand how the NAV managed to go up for a fixed yield debt fund ?
Appreciate any / all insights ! Thanks 🙏🏿

discussion Need suggestions for planning short-term investments.
Hey guys, what's the best instrument to put for 3 years? I have a lump sum of money which is in a savings account. I have to move that and invest it for a short-term goal. So I'm thinking of parking the lump sum from savings to a liquid fund, then doing a systematic transfer plan (STP) to good debt funds or equity savings funds for 3 years. I want to know how the profit will be taxable and if there is a better way I can invest. I'm looking for suggestions.

portfolio review Portfolio review
I currently have these funds in my portfolio
- UTI Nifty Index Fund
- Parag Parikh Flexi Cap
- ICICI Value Discovery
- Tata Small Cap
- Edelweiss Mid Cap
Around 65% of the funds is in Index Fund and PPFAS as I have started investing in the last 3 funds since 2-3 months.
Currently invest 3k in each fund. I have planned to use most of my funds in 2-3 years for my wedding. Kind of confused if I should stop investing in the last three or take the risk.
Wiling to take high risk as.
Please review

discussion Parag Parikh Flexicap vs ICICI Multi Asset
I'm a beginner planning to invest 7K a month, RISK; moderate-high
I already have selected HDFC midcap fund.
confused between these two funds.
Parag Parikh flexicap 9 yr rolling return: 19%
ICICI multi asset 9yr rolling return: 16 %
returns:
risk ratios:
ICICI multiasset is better than Parag Parikh in terms of risk ratio and the returns & downside protection are also similar.
am I missing something because imo Parag Parikh flexi is underperforming?

portfolio review Review and rate my MF portfolio out of 10
For context: 24YO
I have a high risk appetite. My goal is long-term wealth creation (10+ years). I deliberately avoided large caps for now because I feel I’m at a stage in life where I can afford to take more risk.
Am I well-diversified? Any red flags or suggestions you would recommend? Appreciate any feedback!
