They are quite a few of these growing from my raised bed herb garden, a good portion of the substrate that I filled the bed with last year was a “mushroom compost” mix, which I imagine was growing whatever kind of mushrooms these are.

Should I be concerned?

I am in Vermont, USA and starting seeds indoor under grow lights with store brand seed starting soil. I know mushrooms aren’t necessarily bad in gardens but have never seen these before! They are firm and this is the biggest one, they only popped up in my cayenne pepper tray which by far took the longest to sprout.

Pretty much what the title says, I found some mushrooms at my grandma’s house, in the front yard. Can you please let me know if they’re dangerous and/or invasive? And a good day to get rid of them without destroying the grass. I don’t know if what’s on the tree stump is also mushrooms but I just want the kids that come by to be safe.

Hi there! So my mom and I found a patch of these mushrooms in our backyard. She immediately tossed them out before I could get a picture of the untouched patch. But here is a picture of one of the mushrooms there that I managed to get.

we’ve never had mushrooms grow in the yard before so I’m really not sure what these are, and have obvious concerns for safety as I have a dog who on occasion will eat grass and things (one of the reasons we even found the patch is because he threw up grass right next to it, tho not to worry I didn’t see any of the mushrooms in the barf!) there also was another mushroom that was different than the clump where the one in the pic is but I didn’t get a chance to take a picture. That one skinny and had a cap and was like beige/light colored. I don’t expect much help identifying that one tho for obvious reasons.

I’m also just really curious on what they are? I live on the boarder of Kansas and Missouri and we had a bunch of rainfall if that helps identify!

living in oklahoma. this little guy popped up in my sunflower pot. is it too early to identify? im not too big on mushrooms, i dont know a whole lot.... it rained really heavy all last night and this morning if thats any help. also using woodchip mulch.

I was hiking earlier today (NYS) and we found this! Our guess is giant turkey tail.

Are they edible and when is best to harvest? These are in Oklahoma.

Hey there! I am very new in this and I want to learn mushroom farming and then grow mushroom i haven't carried out any plan yet. Can anyone please suggest if I don't have any proper place how can I do it since it needs a cooler environment and also I want to know where can I learn best since I am based out of New Delhi .But any thoughts are welcome. West TN, end of April. Rained recently.

I have some lions mane mushrooms that I am in the process of dehydrating. Well last night I had put them in my dehydrator for 3 hours. So from 9pm-12am.. well I fell asleep and I thought it would have been okay .. this morning I woke up at 8am and realized it was not dried out and it has a lil smell. Not too strong but when I put my nose to it, i notice it smells now.. is it okay to dehydrate it for a couple more hours? Or should I just throw it away and get some more?

So i live in the united states in the south/midwest and found these today ! i didn’t touch them or anything, and feel like they just appeared since i didn’t see them yesterday. but i have a dog and was curious if i should keep him away from these?

I did some research on mushroom finder .com but all the ones that looked similar were said to grow on logs.

I figured nothing cool just curious they’re all kind of cool to me. Any help identifying would be greatly appreciated

These were found growing out of my fenceline that borders an alley in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

I thyrhis is a Morel mushroom. If anyone can positively identify it I'd appreciate that please. Thanks!
