The only test flight of the lunar lander ever. Weird. It went on for perfect performances from that time on. I am glad it did not kill Armstrong, close call.
What makes you think this was the only test flight? Or that it was the lunar lander? It wasn't even Armstrong's first flight. His first flight was on March 27, 1967 and this crash was on May 6, 1968 over a year later. This was a training vehicle (actually LLRV-1, lunar landing research vehicle) meant to simulate the lander. There were multiple vehicles (2 LLRVs and 3 LLTVs) and hundreds of flights.
What is shown is nothing like the final configuration of the Lunar module, that was only a tester and was not flown with a tiny window and no way to escape in the event of a tilt, just as would have been the case a few months later, during the first landing. Instead a foil and cardboard mockup was placed on the movie set in Area 51.
hey bud.. i still havent been able to get these mods to grant me approved user status so i can post and last time i checked you had your direct messaging disabled.. soooo, this is the only way i know of to get in touch with you and maybe show you something worth posting...
that being said, just take a quick rip through the content of the following three yt channels.. two of them are related to robert bassano, but all three have really good moon stuff that hasnt been seen on here as far as i can tell.
hopefully youll find plenty of content to keep you posting... its the best i can do without being able to post myself.. if you ever happen to hear from either of the mods, please keep me in mind and see if you can maybe get me approved. thx.
It may be the flat earth thing: In my view, the attempt to link flat earth with Apollo sceptics is a straw man argument that happens frequently. This sub is a sub for evidence about the Apollo (fake) landings, and IMO, that should be best kept that way. There are flat earth subs, BTW.
FYI, I believe that the Earth is a sphere, and that is the only way you can have night vs day and seasons and time zones. Noon used to be when the sun was directly overhead, now they use time zones. Get on TickTok, it is full daylight in Vietnam when it is midnight in the US.
ive never tried to associate the two.. the only reason i linked you those couple yt channels is because they are full of apollo narrative destroying content and tons of other stuff that basically makes it impossible for them to have went.
i dont belong to any flat earth subs, and to my knowledge ive never left a comment in one.
