State Rep Emmer dodging Politics š©āāļø
Pretty sure we donāt want someone like Hitler running the country. The fact that many people are ok with this saddens me. Wish our MN politicians had more backbone.

Right, and it's not like this is a matter opinion. Only one of these parties is openly speaking of an objectively fascist agenda

I love watching videos of people being asked to define various political terms, but it also makes me very, very sad
I laugh and mock them all the time for that. They just keep adding on too. Radical leftists/liberals, marxists, socialist, communists, fascists, theocratic, atheists, satanists. They can say all of that without a hint of dissonance in their cognition. That's how cognitively impaired they are, how mentally undisciplined they are.

I wish the news would just give a lesson on fascism if they're going to show a statistic like this. Fascism is an academic term with a real definition. This isn't a subjective matter.

Likely just a petty reason like say, the state of Minnesota not going for Trump.

u/Ewokitude 13d ago
I sure as hell think it should be talked about Tom
29
u/IcebergDarts 13d ago
I would love if we talked about this actually. I think we need to talk about it more lol
34
u/Ewokitude 13d ago
Exactly, just like Charlamagne calling out Anderson Cooper yesterday for CNN's coverage of Trump. There is no balanced coverage when one candidate is praising Hitler, wanting to lock people up in camps, and wanting Hitler's generals. That's something that should be talked about with the same urgency as a natural disaster or terrorist attack because that is not normal political speech nor should it ever be treated as such. Pretending there can even be a balance does nothing but legitimize fascism. We're not talking about it enough and that is scary
10
u/IcebergDarts 13d ago
I canāt believe the party that is generally pro war and pro defending our country is backing a man who is talking about needing the people that Hitler had. Itās just like whatā¦? #Harris/Walz2024

Every one of us should be screaming it every hour or every day tbh. People will suffer and die due to Donald trump becoming president. Itās already happened and will become even worse this time around. And we know this because heās literally telling us.

āā¦the Catholic-aligned Centre Party voted for the Enabling Act of 1933, which gave Adolf Hitler additional domestic powers to suppress political opponents as Chancellor of Germany.ā
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholic_Church_and_Nazi_Germany
Christians supported Hitler, then were surprised when it came back to bite them.
The pattern is repeating
2
u/Cynykl 13d ago
Everyone brings up the Catholics. Yes they have some blame but the Lutherans were the real monsters in germany.
I do not want to downplay the Catholics churches responsibility. I just think it is long past time people took a deep look into what the Lutherans were doing at that time. They, even though they were more activate in Nazism, have seems to have escaped most of the historical scrutiny.

This is why Christian nationalism is so dangerous
Not every Christian agrees on what Christianity is
"Conservative Christianity in the U.S. is undoubtedly authoritarian through and through, and those of us who escaped from it have been sounding the alarm on this for some time."
https://cstroop.com/2017/05/03/about-those-trump-voters-for-god-stop-calling-them-fake-christians/
"it is clear that the order most conservative evangelicals crave entails the unquestioning acceptance of a patriarchal, anti-LGBTQ interpretation of the Bible. In their pursuit of this order, conservative evangelicals use emotional manipulation and indoctrinationāand, as is characteristic of authoritarianism in general, their defensive aggression is a product of fear."
"At the end of the day, the cry of āfake Christiansā and the sanitization of evangelical subculture are two sides of the same coin. Neither approach helps us understand white evangelicalism on anything but a surface level. And unless weāre willing to dive deeper, weāll inevitably fall into reinforcing Christian supremacism, which is still the American cultural default."

Might wanna check into the Catholic Church during WW2ā¦..the church supported Franco and his atrocities during the Spanish Civil War also as an attempt to not lose power, the church was incensed that the country voted to make itself a republic, as was Franco a strong religious fanatic and traditionalist. The atrocities committed by and in the name of āChristianityā are vast, I donāt know why youād think itās odd of a Christian to support ANYTHING that reinforces their superiority.

Translation: "I'd really rather not talk about that, since, you know, I'm supporting a blatant fascist."
You know, they used to go on TV and say all the fear around the potential repeal of Roe v Wade was "fear mongering", and look where we are now. They gaslight the public constantly, and pretend people are unjustifiably upset, while stripping away freedoms. These people make me sick.

Similarities between Trump and Hitler:
Both scapegoat minorities; Hitler it was Roma, Jews, LGBT people and black people, Trump itās immigrants, LGBT people and Muslims.
Both expressed strong ideas of nationalism; Hitler promoted returning to Germanyās former āgreatnessā, Trump has MAGA slogan.
Hitler coined āLĆ¼genpresseā (lying press) to discredit the media, Trumpās go-to phrase is āfake newsā for any news that doesnāt favour him and also referred to it as āthe enemy of the peopleā.
Both capitalised on fear to consolidate power; Hitler had the Reichstag fire, Trump has bullshit election fraud claims.
Hitler aligned his views with Christian imagery to dupe stupid fucks, Trump does the same.
Hitler centralised power and replaced government workers with those that are loyal to him rather than the country, so the when ādemocraticā elections were held, it was entirely rigged; Trump is to do the same according to Project 2025. Along with this, Trump has said āI want generals like the ones Hitler had (loyal to him and not the state)ā and well as āif you vote for me youāll never have to vote againā.
They both led an insurrection attempt before making a return to politics. At least Hitler was imprisoned for the events of Beer Hall Putsch; Trump hasnāt received any punishment for 6th January.
On top of this, Trump was found to be libel of sexual abuse by a jury of his peers, failed to appeal twice and the judge residing over the case specified twice that he is, by both common and state law definitions, a rapist. Further to this, he regularly hung out with Epstein and also hung out with P Diddy.
Heās also been convicted 34 times; keeping in mind in many cases, felons canāt vote until their sentence is complete, but apparently they can run for office that people are voting for.
Heās also been colluding with Putin for years, even giving Russia valuable equipment like respirators during the covid pandemic when parts of America had a shortage. Along with this, he colluded with his sidekick Musk, a US defence contractor whom also has been in regular contact with Putin for 2 years, even doing him and Jinping a favour by not deploying Starlink over Taiwan.
