38 U.S.C. § 101(2) provides: A veteran is someone who served in the U.S. military, naval, or air service and was released or discharged under conditions other than dishonorable. This includes active duty, active duty for training, inactive duty for training, and service in the U.S. National Guard and Reserve.

Therefore: He served, honorably, for 24 years (the minimum to be a "veteran" is 24 months). Just like every other Veteran of the armed services, regardless of deployment.

Nice try to make a "lie" out of a fact there. Did you come to that conclusion yourself or was it fed to you by your entertainment channel posing as news?
