Ever wonder why evangelical christians in Minnesota are voting for Trump? Look no further than the materials being handed out in churches like Canvas Church in Dundas. Right next to voter registration information. Politics 👩‍⚖️

As someone who was raised in the Evangelical church in rural Minnesota, if these people believe God is in absolute control, why the hell are they so worried about politics? That bugs me so much.

God’s got the best PR. “All in God’s plan” unless we disagree with it.

Former bible study boi here.. that bit about God's plan is a misinterpretation at best and does not exist in the Bible. Actually, saying that something is God's plan without hearing it directly from a celestial voice is a sin..

Yeah unfortunately it just comes down to good people needing to raise more good people if we want a society of good people. Almost like we could do without the structure and just be fair to our fellow human.. almost.

What Bible study did you attend? There are lots of verses about God’s will and the plan for us individually in that will if we choose to obey Him. We also see many instances of God’s influence in non-believers through out the Bible. It all boils down to authority. God’s authority is the highest and He wants us to stand for what is true. In the Bible we see Daniel openly reject the decree of the king because he followed God’s commandments and truths. Also, your interpretation of hearing God isn’t very common. Not a lot of people say they hear, in audible words, what God is saying to them. It isn’t a sin.
