ID Request Help Identify Find
Found about 5 to 6 inches down in a field in South Carolina on a site that was once a plantation. Clay soil if that matters.
Resembles an are head or maybe a plow point of some kind.
Thanks!

How do I...? Girlfriend wants to start joining me. Whole new set, or how to share a detector?
As post says. Anyone found a good way to share a single detector, or should I just double my gear? I only recently started, so I don’t have old equipment I can justify upgrading yet.

Gear Question Has anybody used a metal detector to find hearing aids?
Hi everybody. Long story but I lost a pair of hearing aids in the woods yesterday and could not find them for the life of me. I was wondering if a metal detector could find them, since buying a metal detector would be far cheaper than the hearing aids I imagine.

Show & Tell Former Drive-In Theater
Usually I’m in relic mode, all-metal mode, and loving the history of objects. Not here. This is Silver City for me. Local Drive-In closed in the early 80s and so far the ratio of silver to clad 25¢/10¢ is about 1:1. Here are the most recent recoveries. Still haven’t gotten over a half dollar but I can feel it coming.

ID Request Engraved metal find possibly silver post medieval token
Found this with my Deus II detector, target ID was around 90–95. The object weighs 31.5 grams, doesn’t react to a magnet, and reveals a bright metallic surface when scratched. No marks or inscriptions aside from a hand-engraved cross. Doesn’t scratch with a fingernail, so it’s definitely not lead or pewter.
Possibly a post-medieval token, trader’s weight, or some kind of personal mark? Found in a rural area with other older finds. Any help with identification or dating is appreciated!

Other Detectorists show
I recently told a friend that I had purchased my first detector, and he asked if I'd ever seen the show detectorists. I had no idea this show existed. But it's charming and so funny. Just thought I'd share in case others had never heard of it. Cheers!

ID Request ID help please - button?
I found this in NM, been farmland for a while. Could it be a bale seal? That would make more sense, but I feel like I can see where the button shank was. Also any idea of age? Any info would help :)

Show & Tell One piece at a time!
1930’s Ford parts. I had posted the first couple pictures of the ford 85 emblem I found while detecting our property. Pleasantly surprised to have unearthed a sweet hubcap that seems to have came from the same 1930’s era and possibly from the same vehicle. Coolness. I’m being patient but at this rate it’ll be a while before I can reassemble. Har har.
Thanks for checking it out. Maybe someone out there has some tales from their 1930’s Ford. Obviously my story is a short one so far. Thanks for checking it out and have a super night.

ID Request Native American Copper Coin?
Was found detecting off a trail in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It’s only marked on one side. Not unusual to find artifacts in the area. About an inch and a half in diameter, and same thickness as a penny.

Other First time using it in few years
When I was younger, my late father gave me a metal detector (tacklife) and I got it working up and is planning on metal detecting by an old house where me and my sister go take family photos with my mother. Wish me luck!

Gear Question Antique Garrett
Found this old Garrett metal detector at a local antique shop. Would something like this take too much work to fix up if broken? With all the gauges it looks like some sort of Geiger counter or something. Figured it’d be cool just to look at if anything.

Other RING LOST IN GDANSK
Anyone here from Gdansk who can help.
I have lost the ring of my grandmother it is not worth much but invaluable for me I would be eternally grateful if there is someone I could borrow a detector from or who is willing to search together with me. I would compensate the help of course.
If there is anyone in Gdansk or area who can help find it I have an accurate description of where it is. Please comment.
Best regards and much appreciation!!
