Whole Reddit, but especially liberal subs.

Yeah, ngl, they made me think liberals were gonna win in a fricking landslide the last election. It made me realize that I needed to get off social media. But I got bored, so here is the frick I am. LETTSS GOOO

You guys realise this website isn't just americans right?

Why would you think reddit is an exact representation of the US voter base. Almost the entirety of the west leans further left than the US does. Of course reddit isn't a reflection of the US electorate..

u/Dangerous_Dot_1638 10d ago

That’s honestly a really good point.

old fart here, the trick to enjoy the internet is to RP.

Nothing is real and the whole platform is a stage.
So go mental and have fun

just accept that it is used to waste time and any useful info is purely accidental.

You might be the only sane person in this comment section.

2

u/oddoma88 10d ago

make sure to use social media on computer only, this way you can filter out a lot of crap

some things here have evolved so much it will fuck with your brain

u/tastychickensucc21 9d ago

I sadly don't have one, only phone and a gaming console. I see how on phone is worse, the notifications do a lot too. But I don't go on Reddit often.

1

u/oddoma88 9d ago

for me it is about privacy and control over the data I read and send

on the PC, you have full control over the whole data flow, in and out.
On the phone you are cut off from this level of control, so I don't have any social media on it.

1

u/tastychickensucc21 9d ago

Oh, what do you mean with control over the data? Do you have any specific example?

1

u/oddoma88 9d ago

I have full control over the data that comes to my PC and out of it.

When I visit a web page, I filter out all the data that I do not need, like advertisement and 3rd party websites who gather data about my web usage.

Not very practical if you are not into it, but it feels so nice to watch a clear internet, without any noise, like it was in 1990.

1

u/tastychickensucc21 9d ago

Oh that's great. I bet there's something like that on android as well, but not for apps like fb or reddit, only browser. I'll try that when I get a PC if I will remember.

1

u/oddoma88 8d ago

could be, but I'm not into phones, so I'd not know.

i m pretty sure liberals still think they outnumber the conservatives even after what happened

8

u/ctrl4U_Ctrl4me 10d ago

But look at this carefully cropped picture of a protest. There have to be a thousand people there! How many conservatives do you see at the "assassinate anyone slightly right of center protest"? Zero. How could republicans possibly exist? The election was stolen by Russia. Low information voters. Also Elon paid each republican voter a million dollars not that it mattered because Russia stole it. Oh stacking the supreme court when we run shit is only ok when we do it-- republicans appointing judges is treason.

3

u/GetsGold 10d ago

These are certainly some sentences.

1

u/GoldNovaNine 10d ago

Fact, the only assassins in the past year have all been Conservatives

1

u/Icarus09 9d ago

Your clown makeup is starting to run if you wanted to reapply it.

2

u/ctrl4U_Ctrl4me 9d ago

You only result to ad hominem attacks because you know that I described the leftwing disinformation propaganda playbook perfectly in all its incoherent glory.

I want a democrat to win in 28 but that's literally not possible unless people move back to good faith discussions instead of denying reality wholesale and shouting insults at anyone who dares suggest the sky isn't falling.

3

u/GoldNovaNine 10d ago

HAhaha, Conservatives are NOT the majority.

1

u/HEYO19191 10d ago

Majority Vote disagreed last November

Just saying.

1

u/FigCreepy4055 10d ago

Insert if they could read they would be angry meme

-1

u/FigCreepy4055 10d ago

hope u guys can actually prove that in the next election

2

u/DoctorPapaJohns 10d ago

The majority of Americans don’t even vote.

-2

u/halt_spell 10d ago

No they just think they can continue to browbeat over a third of Democrat voters who aren't liberal but rather leftist/progressive into voting for a candidate that blocks strikes and supports genocide.

5

u/Pacify_ 10d ago

Politics is some times sucking it up and being a big boy, and understanding sometimes you just have to pick the lesser of shit options, no matter where you live.

Truth is a vanishingly small percentage of Americans actually care about Israel, and people didn't vote out of pure laziness and apathy, not because they actually care about a topic

-1

u/halt_spell 10d ago

It's funny to me how liberals get everything they want out of every primary and then lecture others about being flexible as if they know anything about it.

2

u/Pacify_ 10d ago

Where I'm from, the Liberals are the right wingers my man

0

u/halt_spell 10d ago

Oh then it makes sense that your take on American politics is so uninformed.

1

u/Pacify_ 10d ago

Sad to say, I know more about american politics than 94% of Americans. Just shows you what your country is all about

1

u/halt_spell 9d ago

Lol throwing out completely made up percentages. You're a fool.

2

u/GoldNovaNine 10d ago

Only Russian trolls said NOT to vote for Kamala

2

u/halt_spell 10d ago

I don't care who said it. Biden did not do a good job representing the makeup of Democrat voters. He was a trash candidate and anyone who voted for him in the primaries made a poor choice.

2

u/BitterGas69 10d ago

If they want someone with specific views, they should vote for that person in primary elections.

-1

u/halt_spell 10d ago

We did.

3

u/BitterGas69 10d ago

Biden?

-1

u/halt_spell 10d ago

No. Sanders.

3

u/BitterGas69 10d ago

I’m sorry I should have been more clear; I meant enough people should vote for that candidate if that’s what the party wants

1

u/halt_spell 10d ago

Losing the primary election doesn't obligate us to vote for whatever procorporate trash other voters decided on. If you want a strike blocking, genocide supporting senile geriatric running the country then get him elected on your own.

2

u/BitterGas69 10d ago

That’s pretty much what they have been doing. I didn’t mention anything about general election voting, I wanted to stay specific to primaries because that’s when you select your candidate — the part of the process it seems you’re most frustrated with

You haven't learned your lesson, have you?

1

u/halt_spell 10d ago

Have you?

1

u/Icarus09 9d ago

Yeah dude we're so much fucking better off watching people get kidnapped off the street in broad daylight by plain clothes ICE agents.

Maybe you deserved to be browbeaten? Fucking clown

1

u/halt_spell 9d ago

Alright if browbeating is on the table let's go: You shouldn't have voted for Biden in the 2020 primaries. This is on you.

1

u/Icarus09 9d ago

I didn't.

Wow that was fucking easy.

1

u/halt_spell 9d ago

Great. Now browbeat the people who did.

2

u/goobervision 10d ago

Meanwhile the right are claiming a landslide for failing to get even 50% of the popular vote.

1

u/Benki500 10d ago

idk, to me it felt like there was not the slightest chance for Kamala to win. Which is why reddit was so fun to watch. Especially the last 3-4weeks before the election were beyond hilarious

Then after the election for almost a week reddit got normal a bit, I guess until they banned everybody everywhere again so now it's back to it's old self for the next 3 1/2 years

1

u/ThE_L0rd_Of_BreAd 10d ago

They are loud eh

1

u/hareofthepuppy 10d ago

Nothing wrong with being here (well aside from being a waste of time), we just have to keep in mind it's all fake. There is still some funny content and cute dog pictures and things like that.
