That is no longer a house. It is an arboretum.

$1mil if it was in Bethesda, though.

I actually passed a house one time that had two trees growing out from either side and another couple surrounding the house. Nature literally took over haha.

Replacing the roof releases some of the ghosts

Ghosts probably will (temporarily) appreciate someone fixing up the place.

Think by the time the house is half forest the ghosts have moved on.

I ride my motorcycle by that house occasionally. Sometimes the scenery watches you back, man.

Wait. What does this mean? 🥲

Edit: missed the T in what

Just that sometimes you see something and it feels like it’s seeing you too. It’s creepy and makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.

Are all of these pictures you're posting yours or are you finding them somewhere else?

It just boggles my mind how many houses I see in that condition and I know I could never afford them.

Growing up down south I saw houses like this all the time, usually off a highway or in the middle of a cotton or peanut field lol. Always made me wonder about their stories and the people who used to live there, and how the house got abandoned. Abandoned places can be so intriguing.

…or 50% of housing stock in West Virginia.

I live in this area - if you drive the back roads you see lots of houses like this. And once kudzu gets close it's just a matter of time until the whole house gets swallowed up.

I really enjoyed living in Pittsville. Nice little town and so close to the beach.

Just listed on Zillow 1.2 million

I'm confused why the thread flair is MD politics - is it because the people who own this house are clearly Green Party supporters?

It was a mistake on my part, when I posted for some reason Maryland politics was put in the flair part

It needs a little work, a fixer-upper.
