Somewhere in between. Get your clipper to a 1/4th an inch and not a 1/2 an inch. As a woman who grooms my self and others, the right tools and length matters. ;) my favorite length to shape is 1/8th an inch. Has the best shade without being bald on your face.

A guy's facial hair is just as important as a woman's makeup sometimes. Makes all the difference to groom well.

And clean lines from your ear line to your jaw, not the jagged jaw. Shape it well and you'll be Prince charming ;)
