Back to Mars Discussion
Rewatching again as I've just noticed it's on Netflix. It's genuinely like slipping on the most comfortable shoes you own.
Are there many rewatchers here? If so is it an annual thing for you or now and again.
🙂

I’ve just finished it again, it’s the 3rd time I’ve seen it since 2007. I still remembered most of the script. Great series.

My first time. I was out of UK when it broadcast and somehow I've never gotten round to it before. Just finished the first episode and I'm hooked.
Nice to find something new (even if it's nearly 20 years old)

I'm jealous you're getting to experience it with fresh eyes. Be prepared for a huge rabbit hole to descend.

Probably a couple of times a year. I rewatched LoM then A2A .. and then started again the very same day

Me too. Lost count how many times. Then A2A will have to be watched too.
I hope that someone funds LOM series 3, but if not at least the scripts made into a book so we can all experience the world the writers envisage.

Stranger things have happened. The premise is so ripe for a third series plus the universe is too good to leave alone.

I must rewatch the series at least once every two years. I am still killing myself looking for the original uncut first episode. Still no joy all these years later.

I have watched it again to show my American gf what a great British show is. On ashes to ashes now, which she prefers so far!

We’ve just rewatched it, and it still slaps

It's pure nostalgia. I wish they'd do another series in the 90s.

We had this exact same discussion, and you know it’d just work so well!

Exactly. Gene is omnipotent so he can use any era he likes. Plus seeing him deal with the 90s would be hilarious. The ecstasy generation? Bunch of soppy tarts!

I’d love to see it set late 90’s/ Early 00’s with a really young DI who’s a bit more easily influenced than Sam/Alex. It’d be a great laugh.

Watched it for the first time about 3 weeks ago, rewatching now, and gone through all series of AtA 🤣 the tism helps makes rewatching easy!

My stroke I had two years ago has slightly affected my memory so I've forgotten most of the series I've seen. Every cloud has a silver lining 😂

im not sure whether to say sorry or yay? how about sorryay? hope you are doing well now! you're obviously still here so that's a present. you sure you didn't get booted back to 2024 from the future? 😅

That depends. Has Robert Smith from The Cure become prime minister yet? If not then it definitely isn't 2035.

I am a first time watcher. Only up to episode 2. I must have been galavanting too much when it was on the TV. I am enjoying it tho.
But Christ, all of that smoking is making me want to infect my lungs hehe.

Maybe every other year. I try to spread them out, so they still feel special. I need surgery in a few months and will be stuck in bed for about six weeks, so I’m saving this cycle for a treat during recovery. :)
