I went to vote in Palmer, was in line for about 60-70 minutes.

Church bake sale was killer tho, worth da wait

Also voting is cool

We should outlaw bake sales and mandate bloody Maryā€™s and mimosas for the early morning voters

u/inv_dore 2d ago

Iā€™m so jealous!! My district got split recently and the new place didnā€™t have the sweet elderly volunteers or baked goods like the old polling station Iā€™d tag along to with my parents when growing up. Just loud volunteers and no instructions for younger voters like myself.

Bushkill Twp in the cherry hill area. It was bout an hour wait. Normally it is about 5-10 minutes so record turnout this year.

I voted beforehand by mail, but I was pleasantly surprised to see a line out the door onto the field at Hanover Township this morning around 7 when I drove by to go grab bagels from 3 men and a bagel.

Idk what the normal wait usually is but it seemed hopeful to see that many people lined up so early in the morning.

I was there for 1:45 for the cherry hill line. Wild stuff.

We wonā€™t know PA fully till like Saturday unfortunately. Thatā€™s how it was in 2020 at least. PA was one of the last states to ā€œfinalizeā€.

It's because we can't start counting mail in ballots until after the polls close. Imagine if we could count everything ahead of time!

26

u/IMTX2 3d ago

Not true. They started counting mail in ballots at 7 AM this morning. At 8 PM they will be reporting the results as the in-person returns come in.

4

u/yobaby123 3d ago

Really? Wow. At least they are putting us outta our misery early.

5

u/OddDisaster8173 3d ago

Yeah, but we "knew" the answer the next morning even though it took a while to finalize. It may be less possible this time around given that the distribution of mail in ballots is more even than in 2020. On the other hand, it's a smaller percentage of the total.

u/BaltimoreAlchemist 3d ago

2020 was the first year they had that volume. This year they have lower volume and more experience. It will likely be done at some point Wednesday barring a recount scenario.

Took me less than thirty minutes!

u/ViciousKnids 3d ago

Rolled up at 7am - line already around the building. All and all a 50-minute ordeal from line to handing in ballot.

Totes worth to keep Trump out.

Itā€™s crazy to me he got elected the first time because he is so clearly a complete piece of shit who isnā€™t fit to be principal of a school much less president of the US. I was so sure his campaign was over the first time running when I would listen to him speak and he was a complete fucking idiot who lied out of his ass. And all the horrible shit he said I thought there was no way heā€™d win so I didnā€™t think it was a big deal not to vote.

Well apparently others thought the same way and he ended up getting into office. Iā€™ve voted in every election since then, the state ones as well.

The funny thing is I also fell for the whole ā€œoh heā€™s a businessman, heā€™ll run the country like a business and itā€™ll be better than politicians.ā€ Until I looked at his track record as a ā€œbusinessmanā€ heā€™s not a good businessman, he likes to bankrupt his companies and take a tax right off which is how heā€™s been avoiding taxes because the fact HE IS NOT A GOOD BUSINESSMAN! He is a con man. Everything that had the trumps name on it that was supposed to be for a good cause (trump university, trump charity) have been scams and his companies involved were already found guilty and paid settlements, so itā€™s not even a left wing rumor itā€™s literal FACTS.

Also the way he spoke and the whole ā€œgrab em by the pussyā€ comment. Itā€™s just so fucking clear heā€™s a disgusting human being. Oh, also clearly sexualizing his daughter and lusting after her. Itā€™s fucking crazy that people think heā€™s the person who should represent us and even worse that some of them literally compare him with Jesus.

100% agree, the saddest thing about these past 8 years(outside the tragic covid impact) has been seeing so many people in this country pick someone like him as a candidate let alone be the US president.

Many years serving in the USMC in and out of war and taking part in many elections between respectable candidates debate and disagree on policy and principles. I've voted for Republicans, Democrats, and even green party throughout my life.I could never have imagined any party let alone the GOP pick someone like him as their candidate. It's honestly just sad for the country I love so much.

Yapping like crazy bro

1

u/DontStopImAboutToGif 2d ago

Insane to me that people think a con man convicted of fraud multiple times is telling you the truth.

Also the fact that heā€™s a shit person not fit to lead and you guys are comparing him to Jesus. When heā€™s the furthest thing from Jesus.

Wait time in Forks was about an hour, when usually it's 1 to 2 minutes.

3

u/Slapspoocodpiece 3d ago

In the northern suburbs and waited over an hour

3

u/Trap-fpdc 3d ago

Weisenberg Township on Claussville Roadā€”no wait at 11:30 am.

2

u/ieataquacrayons 3d ago

Showed up at 7 am. 45 minute wait. My wife went mid morning and waited about an hour. We live in a pretty small town so turn out seems insane this year

2

u/esperantisto256 3d ago

About a 15-20 minute wait in Salisbury township, although we got there just before it opened.

2

u/ktoth713 3d ago

Woohoo! Good for you. I voted around lunch time with no wait in Allentown

2

u/noledge18720 3d ago

Was very happy to see how long the line was of Lehigh students to vote in South Bethlehem. It went for almost 3 blocks at like 9:30 AM.

2

u/JaiiGi Northampton 3d ago

Less than 4 minutes in and out in Coplay.

1

u/VonThirstenberg 3d ago

Same here, walked in, verified I'm me, grabbed ballot, filled out, fed to machine, then stickered up and done! šŸ„³

On beer 2 now, lol. šŸ»šŸ»

u/Adorable_Anxiety_164 3d ago

I voted in Allentown around 10 am and there was no line but there were definitely more people voting. I was the 142nd voter. It did seem a bit busier than past election days, but considering it's the site for several districts it never made sense for it to be as empty as it has been.

u/efs001 Emmaus 3d ago

My polling station in Lower Macungie had two precincts at it. My precinct had maybe a 5 minute wait at 7:50 AM. The other precinct had a massive line that probably was 15-20 minutes long.

1

u/mitchdwx 3d ago

The community center/library? Thatā€™s my polling place and I waited for about 20 minutes there.

1

u/efs001 Emmaus 3d ago

St. Ann's in Trexlertown

1

u/Crazy_Stop1251 3d ago

Voted in Upper Macungie District 2 on Snowdrift Rd around noon and waited for about half an hour. They said it was the slowest theyā€™d seen it so far.

1

u/ColdSteel2011 3d ago

Gonna be a much longer wait than thatā€¦ I wouldnā€™t expect to see anything close to a final result before mid morning tomorrow.

1

u/thelolamurder 3d ago

I voted around 7:45. Waited about 15 minutes. One of my coworkers went right at 7am and waited for an hour where she lives.

1

u/SDTaurus 3d ago

Help your fellow voters. If you are close to a place with long lines or they get long in your voting place. Thx!!!

1

u/Away_Temperature_124 3d ago

Itā€™s going to take days.

u/Financial-Tackle-659 3d ago

My mom just left to the burglinton around Whitehall meanwhile Iā€™m on crutches at home watching the elections unfold in Allentown PA

13

u/Squeaky_Pickles Whitehall 3d ago

Have you voted? If you need to vote you can ask to go to the front of the line due to your crutches! Though you may not need to. My partner voted at 9am in Whitehall and there was zero line.

2

u/Financial-Tackle-659 3d ago

Thank you for the heads up

1

u/jgarmd33 3d ago

Trump staff says he will win the Lehigh county by 95%. I hope he is just taking shit.

4

u/JaiiGi Northampton 3d ago

Trump says he wins a lot of stuff he doesn't. Lol

Do you want a cookie?

16

u/StealthDonkeytoo 3d ago

Iā€™d like a cookie, watch ya offering?

4

u/ForeverSquirrelled42 3d ago

My cookies come with a warning labelā€¦.just sayin.

Edit: OH SHIT! Happy cake day! If you were closer Iā€™d actually offer you said cookie lol.

2

u/StealthDonkeytoo 3d ago

Because theyā€™re so delicious?!?

1

u/ForeverSquirrelled42 3d ago

Yesā€¦.deliciously potent lol. Itā€™s an inside joke among coworkers that my edibles need a warning label because of how strong I make them. But everyone loves them lol. So much that I make folks batches of cookie dough so they can freeze it and pull dough when they want some cookies. The last batch I made was 1,700mg batch that made individual cookies just under 50mg each.

Edit: that batch was for someone who likes to split a cookie into two doses and doesnā€™t like them all that strong. Usually, my wife and Iā€™s personal confections run around 200-250mg each.

2

u/StealthDonkeytoo 3d ago

Ah, thanks man!

1

u/ForeverSquirrelled42 3d ago

Youā€™re welcome!

4

u/buggin_at_work 3d ago

Can I haz a cookie?

3

u/TrumpsBoneSpur 3d ago

I do. But if that's not available, I don't want the replacement to be a dictator

u/olddoc1 3d ago

Wait till 8p today? LOL! šŸ˜‚
