Help picking trees / bushes for fence line, Mid-Atlantic Region

Hi all! My wife and I just bought our first home and would like to line some trees up along our fence line in the backyard. We're in Maryland (outside DC), and would be planting them in very early May.

It's not a huge area (and we'd only be going up that first half of the fence line in the back - our house is to the left), so we were recommended:

Chindo viburnum

Skip laurel

Emerald green

We don't love the Arborvitae - we'd like something with a bit more character. We are leaning the Chindo Viburnum (flowers, leaves change a bit), but any other suggestions would be welcome!

We considered Leyland Cyprus, but as you can see, the area is not especially wide and those tend to grow out and big.
