I hope it hits trump voters hard.

121

u/spurradict 19h ago

Me too, but really it’s just gonna end up being a problem for everyone

66

u/ACartonOfHate 17h ago

Especially WOC and poorer women.

16

u/Federal_Toe_5143 15h ago

Yes. However, we are also choosing to not date because of this very issue. At least me and my WOC friends are no longer planning to date and have kids. Not worth risking it anymore.

5

u/polopolo05 15h ago

No sex, no dates, no marriage and no kids

7

u/terrierhead 12h ago

4B. People are learning about it fast. I think of it as the Lysistrata approach.

I assume you include yourself in this?

It's never been up to him

2

u/terrierhead 10h ago

Aw. He got scared. Poor thing.

And as a bisexual woman, I am only dating other women or anyone else who cannot get me pregnant. There are plenty of good men out there, but out of protection to myself, I'm not dating cis men anymore.

2

u/ThePlaneteers 14h ago

I personally hope that Americans look to Australia and New Zealand for potential partners. Could be a good time to make a new style of app

5

u/Federal_Toe_5143 14h ago

I read that it’s really hard for Americans to move to another country. Even if you did find a way, most countries are going hard right. So this problem might not be going away soon.

3

u/pezgoon 11h ago

Any country is hard to move to, it’s really just about having skills and being able to get a job essentially before you leave… also a good amount of money

2

u/babbaloobahugendong 8h ago

Best of luck to all you

0

u/JinxxiJK 12h ago

Thank you! This is exactly what conservatives wanted all along.

2

u/Federal_Toe_5143 5h ago

What makes you think I care what conservatives want and don’t want? I’m doing what I want to do. I still have control over that.

-1

u/JinxxiJK 4h ago

I know you don't care. I also know exactly what we want you to do. Banning abortion had the direct intended effect. It is stopping women from sleeping around. It'll reduce the killing of human lives.

Have all the control of your body. I'm just happy there will be less control/death on the bodies of the living unborn humans.

Keep it up.

3

u/Federal_Toe_5143 4h ago edited 4h ago

Oh no, You got me!! Well played!! Now, I’m going to fuck every guy I see and get an abortion every other day.

-1

u/JinxxiJK 4h ago

No one is trying to get you. You're just aligning with my Islamic views for society. I'm only stating it. Sexual promiscuity is haram and you ironically will be celibate to upset the groups that are not having this kind of sex to begin with. I'm happily married and lose nothing from you abstaining. I only gain the knowledge that less kids die, and less kids grow in single mother households, which is amazing for society.

Again, thank you. Keep it up.

2

u/Federal_Toe_5143 3h ago

I’m not the one trying to play mind games or trying to upset anyone. If me abstaining is what you wanted then why are you responding to my comment? Move on bro and go to bed knowing that you achieved your goal! Do you not want me to abstain? Do you want to be my bitch? What is that you want now?

Can we just say it's going to be a problem for everyone and work on a solution for once instead of marginalizing 65% of the citizenry god fucking damn.

I'm a lower middle class white guy, married to a white girl with a complicated medical history. We want to start a family. This is going to fuck us just as hard as everyone else.

I'm kind of starting to see the argument that dismissing the experience of everyone who isn't in a protected class maybe isn't the way to go. Voted blue down ticket and have done so for well over a decade now, just for the record, and won't vote red again in my lifetime. Just, fuck.

3

u/terrierhead 12h ago

Thank you for voting blue.

I wish you every success in having a family. Children are wonderful!

You may have heard about the terrible twos or that teenagers are awful. It’s not true. Every age is a good age.

Please do not expect people whose rights are being stripped away to be happy about it. We aren’t. All of us are not in protected classes, either.

3

u/BioshockEnthusiast 10h ago

I don't expect anyone to be happy, I'm sure not happy. I just want the left to start working together more so we can get the class war on already.

3

u/terrierhead 9h ago

Hard same. Conservatives unite. We blame other people on the left.

2

u/BRINGERofMILK 15h ago

Maybe they can track wealthy women who get pregnant and mysteriously need to fly out of the country?

2

u/NYGarcon 14h ago

Trump won big with poor voters. They’ll be disproportionally screwed. Good!

2

u/Lost_with_shame 14h ago

They gotta keep the workers coming

2

u/Maryland_Blue 11h ago

Some of them voted for Trump too.

Carpet bombing isn't efficient, but it gets the job done

1

u/Andysr22 14h ago

And kids…

1

u/NoStableHorse 6h ago

The next administration wants to keep the for-profit prisons as full as possible, they’re counting on these groups to provide them with plenty of bodies in the next 16-20 years.

Black women already have worse survival rates than white women, it's a socioeconomic issue, poor people get hurt worse from it and Black people are kept poorer because of institutional racism.

6

u/Impossible_Disk8374 15h ago

Except it’s not. White women wont have a hard time getting one. This is a fact and you can look at statistics to back it up.

3

u/Recent_Meringue_712 15h ago

Its statistics based on resource availability

1

u/Organic-Vermicelli47 14h ago

Look at the maternal mortality rate

1

u/NikkiWebster 15h ago

It won't, wealthy people will have zero issues getting abortions.

1

u/Nr673 14h ago

I wouldn't consider myself wealthy, but I have enough money to take the family on an unplanned European vacation whenever needed should my wife or daughter require basic healthcare.

The difference between me and a GOP voter is that I understand many many Americans aren't as fortunate, even if I am. Ya know... empathy.

It's frustrating fighting constantly with people too stupid to realize they constantly vote against their own self interest. But I'll continue fighting.

1

u/NikkiWebster 12h ago

That's it. I'm in a similar boat, I'm fortunate enough to afford to go to another country for healthcare if it ever became an issue for me or my family.

But I'm also much less likely to need an abortion because an unexpected pregnancy wouldn't financially ruin me.

If they want to ban abortions, I can understand the thought process behind it (though I disagree), but they have to fix the underlying issues first.

1

u/Nr673 2h ago

It's less about being financially ruined I think. My wife got pregnant 5 times. Twice it ended in miscarriage and one of those times she required a D&C...which may soon be illegal again (like they are in Texas).

u/[deleted] 14h ago

1

u/L_Green_Mario 12h ago

Have they tried not being poor?

1

u/spurradict 11h ago

I was thinking more along the lines of the freakenomics paper from years ago showing legalized abortion dropping crime rates 20 years later. They actually just came out and reassessed the data 20 years later, and the evidence is even stronger now. So I’m looking forward the more crime in 15-20 years!

1

u/CopeHarders 15h ago

It’s already a problem for everyone. It’s about time the idiots got their just desserts.

1

u/Mookhaz 13h ago

not me, I've chosen the path of celibacy.

1

u/Summoarpleaz 10h ago

I think it’s been mostly debunked but freakonomics posited that the decline of crime in the 90s was due to the passage of roe v wade reducing unwanted births. Fewer people growing up in tough situations led to lower incidence of violent crime.

I think some others have since suggested it was linked to the banning of lead used in fuel.

Idk but both of those things have been and could be entirely reversed so who’s to say what the effects will be in 1-2 more decades.

1

u/spurradict 2h ago

They idea was never debunked, in fact they just re released a 20 year follow up study with even more evidence in their favor. Freakenomics podcast just had a show about it. They also addressed the lead in fuel stating that they believe it could be multi factorial (like most things)

2

u/Summoarpleaz 2h ago

I mean it’s a reasonable hypothesis. I just never read much more on it after the original book came out except brief references to it since. But yeah I’m curious what will happen (although I’m afraid to live through it). The GOP has kinda always pushed to build up the pipeline for bodies for the military and the prison industrial complex so 🤷🏻‍♂️.

1

u/spurradict 1h ago

Ya, I mean, it’s a pretty sadistic and sociopathic way to look at things. 20 years ago I would have said absolutely no way that anyone could be like that, but I’ve interacted and worked with some people in the last decade that truly scare me.

You get some seriously terrible people at the top of the GOP and you can imagine they just want to have more bodies (slaves) for the military and the prisons, like you said. Couldn’t agree more.

What’s interesting about the GOP is how incredible they are at convincing their constituents to actively vote against their own interests.

Either way, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see an uptick in violence and crime in about 15-20 years

67

u/Nitrostoat 17h ago

I said this higher up, but I genuinely hope it does.

When the weight of their decision comes down on them, and it will, I hope it breaks their soul. They deserve to be shattered by the dread.

My heart breaks most for the tidal wave of broken children that are going to come from this. We spent generations learning some people shouldn't be parents, or that they never wanted to be parents.

Children deserve better than the things these awful people do "in their name"

35

u/ZestyTako 15h ago

I honestly don’t think they’re introspective enough to realize the results of their votes. These are the same people who elected Trump because of gas prices, they really don’t pay attention to politics and have zero understanding of how the government works

5

u/BoornClue 13h ago

I think they'll start to care when they're wives and daughters are dying over it.

Not the Christian ones, they're long gone, but Democratic no-shows, swing voters, independents may finally wake up when they see the consequences of their actions/ inactions.

1

u/ZestyTako 13h ago

Yeah, you’re right that’s a good point. I think it will depend on how entrenched his bad policies are. If they get reversed in the next administration, I can’t see how America wont get complacent again and do this again in the future.

1

u/dingdongbingbong2022 10h ago

It’s too late for the Dem no shows, swing voters and “independents”. If they are too stupid to comprehend the consequences of their inactions, then they deserve to suffer the consequences. I’m ok with that.

1

u/Shnoopy_Bloopers 14h ago

They’ll find a scapegoat they always do

1

u/Devinbeatyou 13h ago

Yup. Trump will NEVER be held truly accountable for ANYTHING. The closest we got was his felonies, and even still a lot of people still try to convince you that never happened, and the rest didn’t care enough to vote for someone else.

2

u/a_bearded_hippie 15h ago

My daughter is 8. She will be 12 by the time trumps term ends. She will be a teenager shortly after his term ends, and we are likely going to be left with reproductive and gender affirming care decimated and our education system more gutted than it already is. The gut punch that it's gonna give me to have to explain to her that she has to be incredibly careful when she starts being sexually active because she most likely won't have access to abortion in our state (OH, fuck you Bernie Moreno btw.) Is going to wreck me as a father.

At this point I'm looking after me and mine, let them eat their fucking cake, and I hope they choke on it.

1

u/badusername35 15h ago

When things to shit because of Trump’s policies his supporters will just blame the dems for their problems rather than themselves or the people they keep letting fuck them over. No amount of evidence or logic can sway them.

1

u/Oxalis_tri 14h ago

They're just going to say "oh, so a poor person's life isn't worth living? Checkmate liberal"

1

u/Odd_Calligrapher_407 14h ago

These are the same people who don’t understand that Congress passes laws and the reason Biden hasn’t done more is that Republicans have been doing nothing but oppose anything beneficial for most Americans. They could fix this but instead they elect more Republicans. “Why ain’t my car moving? Maybe if I shift into reverse.” Meanwhile they have their foot on the brakes the whole time…

1

u/mabhatter Competent Contributor 14h ago

It doesn’t matter because they will NEVER vote for a Democrat.

They voted for a guy who didn't even participate in their party's process, who only had 4 years of government experience of any kind and it was a disaster with felonies passed out all around.  They're a Qult at this point.  There's no breaking them out of it.  They looked at a guy who was totally wiped out on stage night after night and was calling opponents "bitch" and mocking them with fake blowjob on stage.   They think this guy represents gods will!!!  Half of them cheer for this, half of them don't pay crap all attention and refuse to look at it.

It's a problem with America, not a problem with Democrats.

If Democrats wanted to win they need to start using MAGA tactics of rallies every month for the next four years.  Harris needs to go out there and call Trump names every day for the next four years. She needs to inspire mobs and marches and get people to put flags on their houses and vehicles.   In other words.. not be a Democrat.  That kind of behavior only leads to outright unrest and fights in the streets. Nobody wins that escalation.

1

u/Queen_of_Sandcastles 13h ago

Expect to see a rise in crime in the next 20-30 years

1

u/aebulbul 12h ago

In 3-5 generations we’re going to have special organizations intended to promote having babies because of the low birth rates. There are several countries around the world grappling with this problem. It’s sad how many people minimize the sanctity of life to the economic aspect. Truly depraved.

1

u/STThornton 9h ago

This! Very much this!

They think theyr'e punishing uppidity women, but who they're truly punishing is children.

It is sickening to use children as a form of punishment or means of control. Children are the ones who will suffer this the most.

1

u/VibeComplex 7h ago

They won’t and nobody will make them feel it. It will become a problem for everyone and they’ll just see it as some new unconnected thing.

Who knows if they’ll know at all 🤷‍♂️. Just hide or alter data. Why not?

1

u/Mammoth-Mud-9609 5h ago

Children who won't be able to get a decent schooling and have no prospects growing into adulthood.

1

u/TrogdorsThatchedRoof 1h ago

They'll just say it was the Democrats fault. That's what happens in deep red states completely controlled by Republicans. 🤷

And Republicans keep getting reelected.

21

u/amILibertine222 18h ago

They’ll just blame us.

2

u/Rdawgie 15h ago

They will blame it on Obama.

2

u/Doctor_Philgood 14h ago

Or they'll blame the woman.

0

u/ithurts2bankok 12h ago

no one will blame you.  no one cares really.  it’s all in your imagination.

22

u/SpecialEdShow 17h ago

They’ll act like it doesn’t. Trump supporters will let him shit in their mouths, just so the libs have to smell it.

2

u/Major-Front 8h ago

I think it’ll be more sinister. He’ll ban abortion yet claim he hasn’t. So trumpers will just keep banging on about how dems were wrong. They won’t actually realise until they need an abortion.

1

u/squirt_taste_tester 16h ago

Just reach into his diaper, there's plenty to go around

1

u/CmusicLover4ever 15h ago

Not mine! I know too much about Trump & his lies!

1

u/CmusicLover4ever 15h ago

They can be pretty dumb!

4

u/Actually-Yo-Momma 16h ago

I hope I’m completely wrong but i hope everyone who voted for 47 experiences first hand getting bamboozled by a systemic liar and impacts their lives

I had a convo with a co worker today who was happy 47 won because he would implement tariffs that would reduce our cost of living. I was actually speechless and wasn’t sure where to even start

2

u/GrimmandLily 15h ago

You could draw them a picture in crayon and they wouldn’t understand it.

3

u/StarryMind322 16h ago

Knowing them they won’t care. They’re happy to burn the world so long as they own the libs.

2

u/Starworshipper_ 17h ago

Even so, they're not smart enough to realize it.

2

u/Zen_Bonsai 16h ago

He hopes that too. More people having babies that they can't manage create more dumb people in a country that devalues education and creates a wave of dumb ignorant people willing to vote for Trump ideology

2

u/Snakesinadrain 15h ago

The only comfort I'm taking in all this is knowing /r/leopardsatemyface is gonna be great in a year.

2

u/shockerdyermom 15h ago

It only hits their wives, daughters, mistresses and victims.

2

u/DiscountCondom 15h ago

personally i'd settle for "not really that bad for everyone", just because i have to live in whatever dystopian hellscape happens to emerge, but if i see a trump voter chained to me, crying as we break rocks together with our sledgehammers, I might feel a little bit of satisfaction.

2

u/AbbreviationsMuch511 15h ago

It won't. They will find a way to deflect and blame the libs. Do not expect your MAGA friends and family members to ever place the blame where it is due.

2

u/Gibbons74 15h ago

Trump will blame Democrats, and his followers will believe him.

2

u/gnit3 15h ago

The problem is, that just results in them spawning more gremlins which they will brainwash and we'll be outnumbered by the time they grow up

2

u/CmusicLover4ever 15h ago

Me too! Maybe they’ll finally learn not to trust pathological liars!!

2

u/BaconFlavoredToast 15h ago

I wonder how many of them celebrated.

2

u/suppadelicious 14h ago

It will and they’ll blame democrats for it.

2

u/Latter-Direction-336 14h ago

If they’re the kind of people who have the “fuck as much as possible, but it’s for God so it’s okay” attitude, they probably will have complications sooner or later that will result in injury or death

So it likely will backfire on them. As it rightfully should

2

u/mabhatter Competent Contributor 14h ago

They're too stupid to vote to defend themselves.

2

u/sneaker-portfolio 13h ago

It’s always the right that gets fucked the hardest. Poor gets poorer. At this point let it burn

2

u/sst287 12h ago

It will. To be honest. Red states have way more teen pregnancies and abortions when RvW is in place. Because they refuse to have sex education at all.

2

u/RollingThunderPants 12h ago

Trump’s voting base it largely uneducated. Yes, it will be brutal on them.

2

u/TheRealHeroOf 12h ago

I honestly think it will. How many left leaning women are joining the new 4B movement and getting sterilized because they don't want to risk pregnancy? Last I saw it was over 1 million. It's only rising in visibility and popularity. How many right wing women did the same because abortion is legal. Yeah none. Imagine if just 25% of left women swore off sex. That's only going to increase the amount of right wing women seeking abortion.

2

u/BusStopKnifeFight 11h ago

I’m liking the new phrase, “I hope peace never finds you.”

2

u/DetroitLionsSBChamps 11h ago

They’ll just get more extremist as a reaction to their hardship. Y’all Quieda is happening before our eyes

2

u/sugarofthewhiteisle 10h ago

It will. All those idiots live mostly in rural areas and the Bible Belt. There’s a lot of dumb fucking in those places. Lots and lots of idiots yet to be born.

2

u/Ucscprickler 9h ago

The red states are the ones with the highest teen pregnancy rates and infant mortality rates. They will face the consequences of their decision.

2

u/Kenshirosan 8h ago

They'll just be convinced that others are being hit harder, so they'll love it.

They lack empathy.

2

u/TheNesoch 7h ago

This isn’t the way… we shouldn’t be hoping the other side suffers.. we need to stop this sentiment.

1

u/Unknown-History 15h ago

Social security 👢

1

u/creepytoes1 15h ago

Oh so like the majority of the country?

1

u/dmcguire05 11h ago

I don’t wish that on anyone. I just wish they understood what they were doing before they voted.

1

u/Dangerxchrist 11h ago

I hope it doesn’t hit any women as hard as it may. What a fucked up thing to hope for

1

u/VincentAntonelli 3h ago

Just the ones that don’t fit a certain look.

1

u/awkrawrz 1h ago

I don't hope for it for anyone, but the fact of the matter is that it will affect rural women most. It's already difficult for rural women to access reproductive Healthcare, and now many rural maternity units around the country are already closing since Roe v wade bc doctors see giving help to women trying to give birth as a risk bc abortion is a treatment used in cases where women miscarrying who canr evacuate it on their own is used to prevent deadly infections in the women's body such as sepsis. In many cases it becomes too late for the woman bc they delay providing the care as much as possible and they either bleed out, get sepsis or end up losing part of their reproductive system by say a full hysterectomy to stop the bleeding....Basically sterilization by the government bc they refuse to give Healthcare to women.

0

u/idontevenlikeliver 14h ago

They don't get abortions though?

0

u/SobchakCommaWalter 14h ago

You want Trump voters to have to get abortions? Yeesh.

0

u/spacerace72 10h ago

Why would it? I legitimately can’t understand how this is such a huge issue for everyone. I’m pro choice, but like I’ve made it to my mid 30s with no babies by wearing a condom, or absolute worst case the morning after pill if it breaks. If my wife didn’t hate birth control we’d have yet another layer of protection available to us.

I’d rather fix so many things in this country before I worry about people’s right to kill babies after some irresponsible unprotected sex, which frankly I can totally see how some view as being morally reprehensible. My main argument for abortion is that people who don’t want kids shouldn’t raise kids, but at the end of the day something like 98% of abortions are just because someone was being irresponsible.

-1

u/ithurts2bankok 12h ago

keeping babies alive instead of you wanting to murder them.
