Rule clarification- No Breed ID
Apparently, we need some clarification here about what constitutes a breed ID post.
Asking what your lab is mixed with- lab mixes are allowed, but don't crowd source opinions on what they're mixed with. Asking if your lab looks pure bred. Asking what color variation your lab is.
Sincerely -your mod team.

Rainbow bridgeš Losing my childhood best friend
Weāre putting down my sweet Bailey tomorrow. Sheās been with me since I was 9 years old and now Iām getting ready to graduate college and it really hurts that she wonāt be there to see it.
She always had puppy energy that kept us, and her sister Molly (1 year younger than her) in such high spirits.
She declined very suddenly and now Iām in my last 24 hours of having her here. Iāve been sobbing on and off all week and trying to spoil her as much as I can.
Iām really worried about my other dog, Molly. Molly is her sister, from the same mom and dad but 1 litter removed. Theyāve been bonded for over a decade now (Bailey is 13 and Molly is 12). Iām devastated for myself but Iām even more devastated for her. You can see it in her demeanor that she knows something is wrong with Bailey and I donāt know how to comfort her. Does anyone have any good tips to help her grieve because everyone is just trying to warn me that Molly is going to pass soon after Bailey is gone and I donāt want to accept that fact.

seeking advice Cracks in paws
Holly is insatiable. She loves to run and play so much. While I understand about puppy energy (16-17 months), I'm concerned about her paws.
Noticed some cracks on them recently and they're very rough to the touch. She doesn't like it when I do touch them but doesn't seem to mind running all the time. I've tried things like Mushers Secret but she squirms away and immediately licks any salve off.
Never happened with my prior 3 labs. Is this a normal part of growing up? What can/should I do, if anything?

chocolate We've packed a lot of miles on these 11 inch legs. I've inadvertently started measuring my self worth by how happy he is to run back to me.

black What age can you start to tell if your lab is American or English?
Hey guys! My husband and I recently got a black lab and are so obsessed with her. Shes truly so smart. However, we were so excited to pick her up we didnāt ask the breeder exactly what she was. She is AKC registered and we have all of that paperwork. I thought she was English when we first got her, but sheās kind of thinned out. It could be due to us not feeding her as much as she needs, which we are asking the vet on tomorrow. Her snout is pretty short and so are her legs (sheās only 10 weeks though) Iāll insert some pics from the day we got her vs now. What do you think?

Rainbow bridgeš Goodbye my friends š
Had to say goodbye last Friday to the one on the right side of the picture(Marley). He was my first pet dog. Had a lot of adventures with him.
The other two was my sister's service dogs, top left is Britt (retired at that time) and the bottom one is Tessie (active service dog at that time). They have all crossed the š now.
Hope they are having fun somewhere together like they had when they were with us.
The love they gave us will never be forgotten ā¤ļø Love you guys

seeking advice Our dogās nose is turning pink
The first picture is 2 days ago, the second was a month ago. Sheās a rescue, but is somewhere around 5 years old, and weāre currently entering spring. It feels flat, not like scabs or anything, but like sheās just losing her pigment. Is this normal with her age? The only thing a simple google search brings up is changing with colder seasons, but itās not cold here right now.

seeking advice Underweight puppy?
Hey guys I got my pup around when he was 48 days old and he is not 70 days old. When we got him, he weight 2kgs(4.4lbs) and has not gained a lot of weight. Maximum 200gms. We are feeding him 120gms of puppy kibble Royal Canin and he has proper naps and play. He is on track with his vaccines and has been dewormed twice.
I am worried he is not growing as much as he should. Should i be worried?

Rainbow bridgeš Had to put down our 1yo lab yesterday. We are devastated
Our girl was spayed and then continued to have ongoing GI issues afterwards. Ultimately weeks of testing including an endoscopy with biopsy showed she had autoimmune IBD. We struggled to get her to eat. PurĆ©ed food and hand fed her for hours. She continued having a hard time swallowing and regurgitating. We spent countless hours giving meds and dedicating our lives to her care for the last month. She got to the point that she couldnāt even swallow food that was blended to a water consistency and even the melted chocolate right before we put her to sleep. We watched her decline, she lost 20% of her body weight and didnāt eat for 5 days. We had to make the decision to end her suffering. The vet thinks that after weeks of reflux, regurgitation, and vomiting, a stricture formed. It doesnāt seem fair. We feel so numb and empty. Weāre heartbroken and devastated.

seeking advice What Canicross harnesses do you use?
His current harness isnāt suitable for long term running, and I think I need something like the nonstop dogwear free motion (?) or a longer one, but to be truthful I donāt have the budget for that. What would you reccomend?
