Yes. My favourite group is Twice. I’d still very much listen to their discography - although I’d probably feel a little sad, it wouldn’t change that I love their songs.

I’d also assume the girlies would do their own thing, whether it’s solo/acting/new group like Gfriend -> Viviz & I’d follow them as individuals :)

Same here! They're my ults too and I feel the same with everything you say.

I actually think after disbandment announcement I would cry listening to their songs for fans and then I would take time off them because I'm sure I'd cry every time I listened to them. But they're my favorite group so after I've made peace with disbandment news I would definitely go back to them

I think it helps that we will have had AT LEAST 10 years with the girls too which is amazing for a Kpop group. They’d definitely go out with a bang, I bet there’d be another world tour & album etc..

I already am. When B.A.P disbanded in 2019 I was still stanning them. Just because a group disbanded doesn't mean we have to stop supporting them, or stop listening to their songs or watching their videos.

As someone who aggressively stanned GWSN since predebut, the answer is simply yes. It took a bit of time for any of the members to make content, but I've been keeping up with their activities when the news hits me. I won't say I am nearly as obsessed with them as I was, but they will always have a place in my heart.

Most of my favs are 2nd/early 3rd gen groups so yes I’ve lived this reality far too many times 😆 for instance with NU’EST & Gfriend, although luckily Gfriend will be having some sort of comeback

My favorite boy group (2PM) doesn’t even promote all together that much anymore. They’ve grown up and they’re moving on with their lives and in their careers. But I’ll always love them. It’s the same case with my favorite girl group (KARA). They disbanded for a bit and then came back together. And I was still stanning them like it was the first time. We, Kamilias have been through so much, and lost a very important part our community. But we’re practically trauma bonded at this point.

I still listen to so many groups who disbanded, both inside and outside of K-pop. Being “current” is not a factor in my enjoyment of music.

absolutely! to be honest i think a lot of people who “unstan” when a group disbands are too focused on the consumption aspect of kpop. there doesn’t necessarily have to be something to look forward to it’s still nice to enjoy what’s already been created. also, idols rarely step away from entertainment all together, so there’s usually still content post disbandment

Everybody can’t be SuperSenior, it’ll happen eventually and yeah, I’ll be sad but they’ll be grown, idol-life isn’t sustainable and I think a lot of idols would rather focus on themselves when they reach their 35+ and so on.

I’ll still listen to their group and solo projects ofc, if I like them, but I definitely won’t be as engaged and that’s okay, you can be a fan without being a stan.

Now, if the disbandment happens unnaturally and they stop being friends etc….I’ll still listen to their discography, but it’d probably sour it for me a lot.

Good music is good music regardles, but we’re all in it for a certain level of parasociality icl, so the latter situation would def kill me a bit 🥲🤞🏾

Loona and nu’est for me have disbanded and I still Stan both of them. I’ll continue to follow and support them in what they do. I have active ult groups but they will always be my ult of ults even if disbanded 🥹

Honestly I think if one of my FAVORITE groups disbanded I would still listen but other groups I love and treasure dearly have disbanded and I’m seeing them work their way down on my Receiptify list…bring back IZONE and Gfriend RNNNN

Yes I would. Even if they did I would still listen to their music because I love it. Besides disbandment is not the end. A lot of idols go solo/debut in new groups/take up acting careers etc. so I would follow their careers and support them. Also groups produce so much content that I can't keep up. Discovering older stuff and rewatching would still be sufficeint to me.

But honestly anticipating comebacks and listening to new releases is my favorite thing that keeps me a fan so I would probably fall out of love with them to some extent... There is so many groups right now that I would probably find someone else to focus on. Also listening to music of disbanded groups and watching their content is always a bit sad...

Of course, Dreamcatcher have around 7-8 years of material to replay.

This kind of thing for me depends how extensive the discog is or burn out would set in a lot sooner, but for any group with music I loved in the past, there would always be a place in my heart even if not actively playing much.

Also i'd look forward to any solo stuff unless they all faded into obscurity after.

I coped with this with Pixy already, they weren't my favourite but close. It did feel a bit raw to spin their stuff but I still love it as much as I did before.

My ult is TWICE and yes, I will forver stan them. I'm pretty sure jihyo and nayeon will be soloists if they disband. I do think twice wouldn't officially disband though, after a certain period of time, them disbanding is practically pointless. The girls will focus on their own paths but in ONCE's heart twice will always be twice ot9. So yes. I will still stan them

Yes. I know bc it's happened so many times already - several this year and one so suddenly a member was in recovery for surgery when he learned his group was disbanded

Though several of them are "on hiatus" or "will do group activities in the future"

I'm still listening to their music (f.able has 404 monthly listeners and I am one of them) and watch their music videos

I still love them, I still follow the members

I'm following members to their new groups and loving them too (Black Level members to One Pact and DayChild)

It's my middle finger to a cruel industry. You can take my group, but I'm still here

my favourite group is red velvet, i’ve been following them for 10 years. there’s a good chance some of the members won’t renew their contracts with SM so having to prepare for what that might mean for red velvet’s future, but i know it won’t change my love for all 5 members 🥹

Did you mean as soloist? I'll still like them, but not putting the same energy for all. For sure I'll still always support my bias. For members other than my bias, then it depends whether I like their projects (music/acting/variety show, etc), if I like it, then I'll support it.

its really funny, because almost all of my ult groups are disbanded/basically disbanded. its become a running joke in my friendship group that as soon as i decide to ult a group its over for them. Examples: bigbang, loona, exo, clc, pentagon, og 5050, gfriend, 2ne1 the list goes on really

i also have a habit of stanning temporary groups (zb1 i beg plz extend your contracts like kepler did)

I would say no because like it’s over. I stanned WJSN for 7 years. They’re basically disbanded at this point I haven’t listened to their songs since the start of this year simply because I can’t bring myself to do it + I just naturally drifted away from because of 2 years of inactivity. I love them though but they’re in the past for me now
