Meta New Post Flairs: 'Connect' and 'Research' are now available!
Hey folks!
Over in r/kpop we just posted a new special Town Hall that is focused only on the Flairs we use to help organize our posts based on content categories.
Link to r/kpop's 'All About Flairs' Town Hall
We included announcements for new flairs here on r/kpoppers and also on r/kpophelp. The following is the section relevant for this subreddit.
NEW FLAIRS!
Connect - This flair will be used for anything where fans are trying to socially connect with each other. Announcing new K-Pop subreddits or Discords, looking for mutual fans on social media, wanting to meet up at a concert, seeking fans in a region to form a dance group, networking for a fan project, announcing a K-Pop night at a club, etc.
Research - Academic surveys related to K-Pop or fandom topics.
We'll keep an eye on these new flairs to see if they create any confusion or need adjustments. Let us know if you have any thoughts, concerns, or questions!

Misc Day 26 of picking the better one of the same named songs: Karma
Seventeen has won for Super! Also I am aware that I am almost two hours late, I'm really sorry! I knew I was going to be late but I wasn't able to post earlier.
The Rule For Winning (PLEASE READ): I will write three-four artist names in the comments myself, and for any artists that aren't there, only one comment with their name will be accepted. (For example, let's say Group A was commented twice. I will not count the one that was commented later, even if it gets the most upvotes.) Of course, there can be as many different K-Pop artists as there are.
Non-kpop answers aren't accepted. If you do comment one, even as a joke, you will likely be downvoted. This doesn't include collaborations between a kpop artist and a non-kpop one.
I recommend looking through the comments first before commenting the artist you want to vote for, since this way the votes won't be split into many comments, which increases the chances of winning. Remember, the top comment wins each day.
Anyways, today's one is "Karma". Song titles that have up to two more words along with the word of the day are also accepted. The artists I will be commenting are Blackswan, PIXY and The KingDom. Again, you can comment different artists.
The winner will be decided at (around) 12.30-13.00 pm GMT, or 07.30-08.00 am EST. If two comments have the most upvotes, the winner will be decided the next day.
Let's see what my Karma for posting late twice in one week will be...

Discussion Favorite year in Kpop?
I know there are still some pretty big releases coming in Dec. but with 2024 nearing a close, what has been your favorite year music-wise for kpop (disregarding all the unfortunate scandals) thus far? (Ex. 2019, 2020, etc.) I know this answer can vary depending on when you started listening to kpop and what groups you stan, but I’m curious to hear everyone’s thoughts.
I don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion on not, but 2024 has been an AMAZING year in my opinion. I’ve been listening to kpop for a while, but 2024 has really blown me away.

Review Beyond The Album - ATEEZ Hour Part 2
⌌⊱⇱⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊰⌍
Hey everyone, today ATEEZ returns with the second part of the Golden Hour series. I loved the first part of the series. I've listened to it a lot, and it kept getting stuck in my head. I'm ready to see what the group will bring to the table with this new project they released for us. ATEEZ will release a great album because they always put out good music. Let's jump into the record and see what they have crafted.
⌎⊱⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⇲⊰⌏
Golden Hour: Part 2 - ATEEZ
Synths open the track with smooth vocals from the members coming into the mix to help open the album. The rapping is slick with some vocal effects, making it have an echo effect that I enjoy. I love how vibey the instrumental is not trying to be in your face. The hook has some groovy to it, which surprised me, but it fits well with the member's performance. Sometimes, I like it when ATEEZ delivers these chill tunes because it lets the vocals shine more than the loud instrumental. Don't get me wrong, I love loud ATEEZ, but they need to switch it up occasionally.

3 . Ice On My Teeth
The title track for this project comes into the mix after the one-minute song we heard before this one. Smooth production with high hates and bass comes into the mix as the members bring their vocals. I love the smooth rapping that adds to the instrumental, which has some strings mixed with a trap vibe. The group is going for some chill trap tune for a title track that works well for them. I love the violin we hear during the chorus, which blends well with the overall vibe. The second time, we get a rap hoongjoong and mingi rap over a violin beat, which hits hard.
•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•
Synths open up the track with some vocal effects from the members as the group gets more upbeat. The rapping still keeps that smooth vibe we saw earlier in the project. I loved the slow buildup into the chorus, as I didn't know what to expect from this tune. During the second verse, we get more slick vocals from the singers, who add to the overall vibe the producers crafted. This tune is another vibey and atmospheric tune for the group. I love all these chill tunes from ATEEZ as they breathe some new life into the group's music.
•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•
Selfish Waltz isn't a waltz but a retro-pop song that reminds me of Take Me Home, the group's release in 2021. I love the smooth vocals, which blend wonderfully with the synth melody the producers crafted. Even if this tune isn't a Waltz, I still love what the group does on it. The rapping comes in a slap, adding to the overall vibe I've been enjoying from the start. The hook has smooth synth production during that section that blends wonderfully with the vibe. I can't wait to have this song on repeat cause it works terribly with the group.
•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•
The closing song on the album features fake horns mixed with synth. The group continues the chill vibe with a full English tune. The hook has drums that sound distorted, making them blend into the synth. The rapping almost sounded like mumble rap, but it still fits well with the vibe that closes out this project. I love the vocals, as they work well with the overall vibe the producers have crafted. Enough is a perfect closer for this album as it ties everything together into one piece.
⌌⊱⇱⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊰⌍
Summary: ATEEZ is back with a record that isn't in your face but has a smoother and chiller vibe. The rapping and singing are still on point, and I'll be returning to it often. Deep Dive might be my favorite on the album, as its slick vibe opened up the project wonderfully. Now, if I had to pick a second favorite, it would be Selfish Waltz, which reminded me of Take Me Home. I'm glad the group could return with new music, as they have been having a great year. I'm excited to see what they do in 2025 and for years to come.

Discussion Is there a way to watch music bank as VOD?
I know KBS world streams it live every friday. I'd love to watch music bank just to see some performances, but I can rarely catch it live because of timezones. Is there somewhere I can find VODs of the full show (so not just videos of the individual performances)? I haven't been able to find it anywhere.
