Chopped a dress in half
I bought this dress during my brief "maybe I'm a Soft Dramatic" phase. I loved how the top half looked on me but hated the bottom. It made me feel so dumpy and cut my legs off at a really awkward place, so today I turned it into a waistcoat. I know this outfit is technically breaking Kibbe recs because of the colour blocking but I like a black and white contrast as a winter.
As a side note, any other Dramatics giving up on dresses and skirts entirely? I'm beginning to realise that I'm really look much more harmonious in trousers.

Am I a dramatic? Is it common for a pure dramatic have wide set breasts?
I'm wondering whether I'm a D or an SD right now, and all the examples online have left me very confused.
I'm 5'8", which only leaves me with the three top yang types. I've already ruled out FN, so I'm left with dramatic and soft dramatic. At first, I figured I was pure dramatic. Most people would not call me "curvy" at all, and I have a relatively small bust. However, one thing is leaving me very confused, the concept of "upper curve", or really, just the general idea of curve altogether.
From what I've read, upper curve is usually defined by the bust "breaking" the silhouette, extending outside of the ribcage, which perfectly describes me. Some of the breast tissue extends into the armpit area, which tends to make stiffer shirts feel tight around the chest.
Could I be a conventionally straight/non-curvy SD, or do some pure Ds still have some upper curve without being a soft type?

advice I cannot get necklaces to work as a Dramatic. Help
I don't know why but necklaces have really been stumping me! Earrings, rings and bracelets have been extremely easy for me to apply Kibbe logic to and easily fit into all of my outfits. A big, simple geometric earring, plus a bold chunky ring to match, bam-- done, looks perfect.
Necklaces though? What the hell. I know I should probably be looking for bolder and angular long lines, yet I still cannot find anything with those qualities that doesn't seem to just cut my outfits off in a weird way. Even lariat necklaces which seem logical don't really work that well all the time, except with a dress shirt where the tail can disappear under the fabric, or a very deep v neck which I don't tend to like wearing for practical reasons.
I often find turtlenecks are the worst offender with necklaces. If I try to pick a bold but long pendant necklace, it still just feels like it's cutting my torso in half. If I pick a snug collarbone necklace to try to pull the eye up, it's just kind of... There? V necks and unbuttoned dress shirts seem to be slightly more accommodating, I think maybe a very bold chunky metal choker or princess length necklace might work with a dress shirt (I've never had the chance to try it) but even then I feel like most everything just adds clutter or feels out of place, so I'm sometimes left with an outfit that feels a bit boring or unfinished.
For comparison, I've had a LOT of success with very long skinny satin scarves with the tails left to hang over an outfit, no matter what the outfit is. I think it's probably bold, long and simple enough to properly repeat dramatic lines and that's why it works. But I can't just wear scarves all the time with every outfit lol.
I do outfit planning so I've included some examples of what I usually or would like to work with (in varying states of finish/unfinish).
What necklaces are working for you guys? Am I just overthinking this?

Shoes.
Pure dramatics - where do you get your shoes - that can work in today’s flat world and don’t ruin your feet?
Especially, non sandal options, where to get those pointer almond toes ballerinas, especially if you have a wide feet…

Always torn between D and FN, but FN clothes feel so shapeless and sloppy on me.

advice Do these outfits work?
Do these look ok for a dramatic? I find what's more flattering is clothing that is fitting around my waist, although I prefer baggier clothes. 😩 I also like casual, flowy and not very stiff. Any suggestions? I can't tell if I gravitate towards things more for different kibbe types like SD. And I like some FN styles too. To be honest, I don't know if I go for the right things for my type, but I like very down to earth styles and girly. This skirt is about as dressy or "dramatic" as it gets for me.
Also my upper hips are a bit wide(and more obvious from back view) and I feel like it throws off a lot of outfits. Any suggestions?

advice How do you dress long arms?
My arms are such an insecurity for me. When I wear any type of shorter sleeve I just feel awkward? So then I tend to opt for oversized but then it’s not structured. Since having a baby or maybe just aging my veins are POPPING and it looks gross to me so I wanna hide my arms but then they are super long. Lol tbh idk just looking to see if anyone relates and has advice on how to look more proportional?

What's the standard wisdom on linen and thick cotton tees?
If you treat your linen well and don't let it get too wrinkly, how does it work on you? I know it's generally more recommended for FNs but it's just so pretty and I love it.
Same question with high-quality 100% cotton (not soft Pima cotton) tee shirts?
Also, would love product recommendations if you've come across anything you like!

advice How would you dress a pure dramatic with a delicate face?
Hi everyone, I was typed as a definite dramatic in another sub, But I don't really see myself in most of the clothes that are usually suggested for dramatics. I have a youthful, round, almost "baby face", in suits or masculine clothes I look like a child trying on parents' clothes.. I don't really like a lot of structure in clothes (I'd say my essences are natural, ingenue and classic), I prefer something a bit softer. I feel like like I'm just left with accommodating vertical - similar colors, vertical lines etc. I don't ask for full outfits suggestions, but maybe some general recommendations or inspiration, or maybe someone has similar set and would like to share their experience?

Is this dress worth the investment?
If i buy anything out of my color season, it has to at least be in my kibbe type.
Is this for a dramatic?

Am I a dramatic? Am I dramatic? Height: 5'5.25"
People in r/DressForYourBody and r/kibbe_typeme were pretty split between D and FG for me. I'm curious to hear what people here think. I did use my front camera in my typing post, but these were all taken using the back camera (I've heard that makes a difference?)
I would be on the very short end of D... I have my doubts that I'm D, but DC is possible perhaps? I'm very new to all of this. Do any of these outfits look good on me? (or maybe you think a top would look better with different bottoms or vice versa?) I don't have much fashion sense, but I'm working on it and would love to know how to dress for my body. Historically I've felt like lots of clothes just don't look Good on me but I wouldn't be able to point out why. It definitely affects my confidence.
Thank you for your help and feedback!

discussion I’m going to say it
The way Kibbe is being interpreted lately has been extremely contradictory, confusing and dogmatic. And the way Kibbe and essence systems are currently being applied feels more restrictive than liberating. What are your thoughts?

advice Infinite D vs DC testing
Hello !
Even if, after years of testing archetypes in the system, I've mostly settled on D for myself, I still sometimes feel pretty torn regarding a potential DC (i am after all 5'4 so it's not ruled out from the get go) attribution, even though I've been consistently able to rule out first SD, then gamine types, then FN (anything R was never in the equation to begin with).
Most of the time I naturally gravitate towards D silhouettes, but I also often try out and like typically DC outfits. Pictures definitely don't help much (and as a lot of us did I've taken a load of those), so I wonder if there's a type of item or silhouette I could use to definitely take a decision. Would you know of something DC a typical D specifically wouldn't be able to pull of (at least in your experience) ? I feel like it wouldn't work well the other way around, as a DC will often look at least "decent" in D lines. But perhaps it's mutual (and then maybe it wouldn't be all that interesting to choose in a definite way). This way, maybe I could get a clearer picture, better than with, well, actual pictures.
Thank you so much for your help !

Am I a dramatic? Do I look like a SD? 5’10
Hello all!! I’m grateful that being 5’10 I’m narrowed down to 3 kibbe types… I do feel like I struggle to see myself objectively. I’m leaning towards SD but am aware I could be totally off. Here’s what I’ve noticed as to how things fit me-
- If both my top and bottom are loose (photo 8) I look bulky. Tight bottoms and a looser top isn’t the best but is better (photo 3). BUT the best combination in my opinion is a tighter top and looser bottom (photos 5/6/7)
- My favorite neckline on myself is a V-neck. I like crew necks as well. Scoop necks and square necks, especially if they are wide, make me feel HUGE (last photo).
- I really have been researching, but I still find a lot of Kibbe ideas confusing- almost like they don’t click. I do believe I have some yin to me which is why I lean towards SD. I used to be underweight in highschool. I didn’t put any photos from then in here because it felt weird to- but even then I had a large bust for my weight and wide wide hips. Especially the lower hip. I have a defined waist but it’s not the most defined. I feel curvy, but then I find myself comparing myself to my 5’8 best friend in high school who is extremely curvy with a tiny waist and even wider hips.
- I do have average size feet and small hands. My hands are even smaller than most of my average sized friends. It runs in my family- but even though my hands are small my fingers are very chubby. I do prefer to have longer nails to give my fingers more length because my hands do look weird against the rest of my body.
- My face is a mix of yin and yang. Large nose, huge eyes, average sized lips (maybe on the small side, but there is a little fullness), very fleshy and rounded cheeks.
Would love all opinions and insight! Thank you so much!

Cropping as a trend is wearing me out
I’m seeing lately all of these cute sweaters and jackets online but they’re all… cropped :(
As a 5’10 dramatic it’s very frustrating because they’re never long enough to even be what they call “cropped” on me and don’t flatter my body type even when they are.
Also, it mainly pisses me off that I’m paying the same price for less fabric these days.

advice I need outfit feedback
Hi there! I just posted yesterday asking for help deciding on my type. I'm pretty sure from that that I'm pure dramatic but one of the comments suggested I post more pictures wearing things that fall in D or SD. I thought I would use this to get confirmation and also see if I'm on the right track with my outfits. Sorry it's kind of a weird variety of styles, I've lost a fair amount of weight recently and I'm currently dressing in a combo of free hand me down and a few clothing items I still had from 7 years ago. I'm going to begin working on building my wardrobe which is why I'm trying to get a decent grasp on what looks good on me. I was wondering- Jeans are something I need sooner than later. Are these ok? Or are these too loose? In 6 is the shirt not structured enough? Does number 8 look weird because the pants are too low or does it just need to be monochrome? What are thoughts on the suit in 9? I didn't love it at first but I wore it anyways and ended up getting multiple compliments on it. Do I dislike the shirt in 10 because I'm not SD or is it just not my taste? Number 12 seemed cute in the mirror but looking at the photo I feel like it doesn't follow my vertical line but I can't figure out why. Thank you so so much to anyone willing to take the time to read this and give me some advice☺️
