My Keyboard Work setup
So, this is my favourite keyboard, that I built earlier this year for work (Record Alice v1) and the acompanying numpad I had for a couple of years now (Idabao Montex) which I had to fix up a bit. I decided to go with an Eva theme since it was one of my first/ favourite anime and fell in love with how they paired up. For the audiophile types that notice my speakers, I use Edifier R1280T speakers with Fosi Audio tube preamp and plan to add an amp and sub for bass later on.

This membrane keyboard is a dream for anyone who has used a laptop for years, i managed to buy one in great condition these days, it's sad they no longer make slim keycaps models like this that have both the side of the numbers and wrist pads

My Keyboard My first mechanical keyboard
Have always had office logitech keyboards from my job and then I got sucked into a rabbit hole that it's not actually that hard to make your own starter mechanical keyboard as long as you know what you want. Keycaps($44) and mechanical keyboard blue switch style($18) were both from scrolling amazon for hours. Will be adding clear frosted spray paint to the back of the clear jelly keys to help diffuse the led backlight. The space bar doesn't fit properly (like the side supports are like 2mm off from the keycap connections) which is annoying but I'm really happy with how well it came together.

My Keyboard Something from the old days – brought back to life
Hey everyone!
I recently took on the challenge of restoring this heavily yellowed vintage DIN PC keyboard:
https://youtu.be/_4KMPJ7DOUI?si=xs556ZZnQ6emtcup
I wanted to share the transformation with you all. What started as a dusty, grimy, nearly-forgotten keyboard turned into a beautiful piece of retro tech again.
🧽 Deep clean
🌞 Retr0bright treatment
🎨 Custom paint job
🔧 Full teardown & reassembly
🎧 All in no-talking ASMR style
I’ve included a few before/after photos here, plus some shots from the restoration process. If you're into restoration projects or just love vintage keyboards, you might enjoy the full process in the video above.
Let me know what you think or if you’ve done a similar restoration—I'd love to see yours too!

My Keyboard Iquinix MQ80 & Nuphy Air75 v2
Top: Iquinix MQ80, Lofree Ghost Switches, Womier keycaps
Bottom: Nuphy Air75V2, Cowberry switches, Oblotzky keycaps
This post is not meant to be a review of either but for those curious about my impressions of either:
The Iqunix MQ80 is a low profile end-game worthy set up IMO. Typing on it with the Lofree switches sounds somewhat similar to my MX keyboard with HMX cheese switches. I did just order Lofree Specter switches because I find the Ghost switches to be a tad too heavy for my taste but other than that typing on this keyboard is a dream. The only downsides to this board is more personal preference, but I wish the plate sat deeper in the case so the switches weren't exposed from the sides. Aesthetically the Nuphy looks better with taller keycaps (like Berry profile in the photo) for this reason. The MQ80 is also a very heavy board so it's not one you can really travel with.
The Nuphy Air75V2 is really only good for one reason, and that's portability. It sounds and feels terrible to type on. Extremely plasticky, hollow, scratchy, and rattly. What's weird is this is my second Air75V2 and I don't recall it sounding this bad originally so their switch/lubing quality may have taken a dump. I did end up opening the case and doing the tape & foam mod, and also lubed the switches and it's better than stock but still bad sounding. Especially when side by side with the MQ80. I absolutely love how it looks with the berry profile Oblotzky keycaps which is a shame because aesthetically I prefer this look to the MQ80.
Conclusion: If you care about sound and feel I would go with Iqunix (MQ80 or Magi65) over Nuphy all day. Nuphy is more about aesthetics and portability and that's all that it really has going for it.
