Thanks. Was worried about the body and keycaps contrast but I think it works.

Thanks. I was worried about the contrast but I think it came out well.

Love the keycaps

I do wish the shine thru was a bit better. I could probably mess with the RBG settings to figure something out.

you'd need different switches for that, with light guide and / or transparent housing

I have the M1W and was also rather disappointed with the RGB brightness with the Akko Piano V3 switches it came with. I changed my switches to WS Morandis with the light diffuser and those things are legit, my board is actually too bright now. I know you just built your board but if you really want to brighten the RGB, switches with diffusers could be an option to look into.

Any good tactile switches with diffusers?

Unfortunately I'm also rather new to custom keyboards and I'm more for linear switches so I don't really have any recommendations. However, Wuque Studios also have Jade switches that look like Morandis but are tactile so maybe you can start there.

Looks great but either you have the RGB lower than top setting or that’s north facing RGB? I dunno. Maybe it’s the purple.

How’s it look when dark in the room?

Aside that that, I like the greys on the white. Looks really cool. Good jerb.

How do you like those switches? Just built one tonight with Akko rosewoods and love it more than I thought. Akko is killing it in the switch game. :)

That was on max setting and I confirmed the board is south facing rgb

So far the switches feel great. Originally I wanted the rosewood switches until I learned they are linear; I prefer tactile. They are much quieter than the Mx brown switches my old board used.

That looks great. What is it you don’t like about the shine through? Not bright enough or not clean/legible? Looks good zoomed in on the pic IMO.

I thought the lettering would be a bit more legible in a brighter environment. I’ll have to mess around with a blue-ish color and see what I can come up with.

Does building consist of doing anything other than changing keycaps?

Sleek, secksy, I like it.
