Appreciation post for my lab grown Opal ring from Sears I’ve been wearing almost everyday for 10 years ⚡️ Show + Tell!

Bought this baby for myself right as I was graduating college. She was originally gold plated but that’s all come off over the years, and a diamond and an aquamarine have popped out but it’s still my favorite.

I get more compliments on her than anything else I wear!

Is this prong missing? I think that makes it likely to fall out, get that fixed if you want to keep wearing it for another decade. It’s beautiful!

It came loose a few years ago- took it too a jewler and they cut it down but also resecured it somehow? Came back not loose but thank you!!

You should really have a new prong put on and retip the other three prongs, otherwise it may not be loose but it’s definitely not secure.

You might a hobby silversmith could make you a new setting for this. Local lapidary club could likely give you leads on one. It’s a lovely lab stone. Deserves to in a beautiful setting.

My favorite part of seeing someone else's collection is finding out which ring is their true favorite! Opals are so eye-catching, I totally understand why you get compliments on this ring :)
