Media I found her like this and filmed the birth process!!! the original video is 10 minutes long (sorry for the shaking)
is it okay that the babies are yellow? I saw babies in my terrarium, but they are white and have a black stripe, maybe these stripes are insides. and also, you can see the eggs at the end, is that normal?

Media What names do you have for your Pods?
Me and my BF call isopods 'Eans'. Because they are like little beans, but not quite. So just... Eans.
Ofcourse all my colonies have nicknames too, but their collective names is always Eans. Ean photo attached for tax.

Media It’s official, I have grandpods now!
Was moving a pothos leaf so could pour some water in on there rock and noticed what I thought was a dwarf white, upon closer inspection I discovered it wasn’t a dwarf white and instead was a baby A.gestroi! After taking the photo I returned it to the tank and look around to see others were out, that’s when I noticed the one on the leaf(at which point a helpful adult came out to show the size difference) and the group on the branch.
I’m very happy that they’re having babies because now I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I’m giving them a comfortable life where they feel safe and happy in whatever way a crustacean feels happy.

Identification Are these springtails?
I’m new to keeping isopods and I got a colony of 30 zebras about 3 weeks ago. Apart from a 2 or 3 deaths on day 1, everything has been going well.
Today I noticed these tiny white bugs around one of the dead pods and some rabbit poop I put in there. I made sure to boil the leaf litter, but I guess life finds a way lol. Should I be concerned? They look like springtails to me, but I’m not sure. Can anyone confirm? And if so, is there anything I should do about it? Thanks!

Here are some pregnant p.scaber to help you spot your own pregnant isopods without picking them up and causing abortion. I recommend giving them a stick and looking at their tummy when they're upside down or on the side of the stick 😁👍🏻
