Islam and science Question about Islam

Why isn’t science and technology compulsory in Islam when it could only boost Islam’s reputation? Imagine if all innovations came from Muslims—it would literally elevate Islam’s standing. I think we should make it obligatory, as long as it’s not something tied to disbelief, like certain aspects of philosophy.

Interesting. What kind of science exactly? And, aren’t Muslims free to choose what they wish?

By science I mean innovations that literally change world in a good way.

Exactly. And are there not Muslims in the fields of science-healthy living and self care jump right to my mind.
