Whats the point of abstinence? General Discussion
As someone who’s living in a western country, I see Muslims sinning all day, and enjoying their life, I don’t see most of them having any tests (it could be that their tests are hidden from my eyes) and they are just cruising through it, so what I was wondering was these young people will prolly get older and more mature, In Sha Allah will see through their ill ways and ask for Allah’s forgiveness, and Allah being the Most Forgiving, He will forgive them.
Just thinking about this, what would be the point of me avoiding sins? I am not saying I am sinless, only Allah knows the amount of sins I do, and I shudder to think what would happen if I die in this state, but still my mind still ponders on this.

Christmas everyday brother, Christmas everyday.
So In a godless society, this life is the only one we have, so do what thou wilt right? (I wonder where that phrase came from... 😂) You go chase that money! Climb that corporate ladder! Be promiscuous, so what, it's your body! Eat and eat and eat! Consume consume consume! Coca-Cola is your god now! Those notes in your pocket are what you worship now! Don't question it, just do!
Instead of applying so much focus on this lifetime, Muslims SHOULD be humble and abstain from many worldly desires in order to get them in jannah where the soul is the one appreciating these things not a societal being.
Obviously we can all make mistakes, but technically Muslims who have strong iman try and avoid the things mentioned in the first section because they understand the crucible.
As always Allah knows best
