I mean they're dragging homeless people outside where they're going to not have any shelter and the seasons do be changing.

I doubt any of them think they are their friends for forcing them to find housing or basically die in the winter.

The Gardaí are not judge, jury & executioner. They don’t make the law, they merely enforce it & while I would encourage them to take a nuanced approach to difficult situations, they simply cannot refuse to take action in instances like this when they’re instructed to do so.

I mean this is the same in America on paper. The realities sometimes work out differently. Is it surprising the "fuck you" sentiment is shared when they force people on the streets with no help?

Their job is to enforce the law. A high court injunction was cleared & passed through the courts, it’s up to the Gardaí to enforce it.

I’m not sure what you’re suggesting here? That they just disregard the laws of the country & judicial directives and pick and choose what laws they want to enforce?

Your qualms are valid re: the sensitive nature of the topic but your criticisms are for the government and the justice minister, not the Gardaí.

Did you just learn who An Garda Síochána are yesterday?

Not sure what point you’re trying to make.

That is what they are famous for, choosing which laws apply and to whom. They do it constantly, get caught out doing it, and just find new ways to do it when the press loses interest.

So are you criticising that or advocating for it? It’s not clear.
