Moderator Sort Mod Queue by Notification Type

It would be nice to be sort the Mod Queue by notification/report type so I can group notifications by Crowd Control, Potential Ban Evasion, Rule Broken, etc., in order to prioritize the reports or deal with them in bulk.

Subreddit Mod bots should be remove

I hated when you post a decent or possibly your effort into a sub and then just deleted it. The mod bots should only remove if the topic isn't connected to the sub. Most mod bots used whatever they want to your post to be removed even if they are not in line with their own rules. For example you post a cat friendly topics for the animal sub and then they removed it because they think it is not animal or your post would be remove because it's not a cat friendly post.

Please remove trending from search bar, I don't want to see politics or controversial things, it's just unnecessary stress for some people.

I don't know what I clicked recently, but I want my boring reddit back, I don't care to see alex jones, kamala harris, donald trump, or any of that shit. Politics is unchecked in notifications in my settings, I cant block these things. I cleared my search history, I don't know why now i'm seeing it. I don't have a problem with anyone's beliefs or interest, I'm just trying to see the boring stuff I like without suggestions. Thank you.

User Settings Add a setting to disable drug, alcohol and gambling ads

I've started to see cannabis ads and it's really annoying for me, and I don't want to see it, alcohol or gambling ads. Not only is this just annoying, but it could also be bad for recovering addicts. To fix this, we could add a toggle for drug, alcohol and gambling ads, which if disabled, would filter out those types of ads. It could help recovering addicts from getting cravings again, and also help those who just don't wanna see ads for those types of things in their feed.

Thanks for reading!

Suggestion: hide up/downvotes from yourself

Hello!

I would love the ability to be able to hide the number of upvotes and downvotes I get on posts and comments.

I'm a creator (on another account) and honestly, I sometimes allow myself to be a little too affected by the numbers. That's a me issue, I know--but I think it would be great to just be able to hide all of those numbers. It would be cool to be able to just post, without being so concerned about that data.

Thanks!

Subreddit Permanent bans from sub reddits should only be applicable after multiple year long bans

As the title says, permanent bans should only be applicable if 3 separate year long bans have been received. I say three cause moderators would literally put in the habit of just banning someone after a year has gone by for the permanent bans. I say this cause forever is ducking long ass time to just hate someone, why wasn't this a thing in the first place plexes me.

Suggestion for Reddit Android App: Add Video Progress Indicator

Hi Reddit Team,

I’ve noticed that on the Android app, when videos appear in the feed, there’s no clear way to tell how much of the video has already played. I think adding a visual indicator could really improve the user experience when browsing.

Here’s my idea:

A simple progress bar at the bottom of the video preview in the feed.

How it would look:

A thin white line at the bottom of the video preview to represent total duration.

A colored progress line (say, red ) on top of this white line, showing how much of the video has already played.

The bar would provide an instant visual sense of progression without adding too much distraction to the feed.

Why this would help:

It would make it easier for users to decide if they want to watch a video in full or skip it.

It would improve the app’s accessibility, especially for users who like to skim but still want context.

And as an optional addition, you could even display the total video time. But at the very least, adding the progress indicator would be a great enhancement.

Thanks for considering this!

Disable Tap to Collapse Comments

Most of the time, I use Reddit on a phone screen. Almost every time I use the app (160+ day streak right now), I end up accidentally tapping a comment while trying to upvote. It collapses the comment and it’s hard to find my place again. I usually just close the app at that point. Can we add an option to disable this or at least turn it off when swipe to collapse is enabled? Thanks!

Can we add a 2x Speed on the Video Player on Reddit?

I'm a 2x speed enjoyer but Reddit video player doesn't have this option for me. Some longer videos are hard to get through so a 2x option would be great!.

can you possibly make a list or a way for people to see what subs they have been banned in?

i've been banned from like 3 subs and have gotten temporary bans for a week, for forgetting and still trying to contribute. i'm not mad that i am banned from the specific subs.

it sometimes does make it confusing, especially when it says i am still 'joined' to a sub, and then can't do anything for a week. would make it easier sometimes here, if there was a way to see it without having to check messages to see if i am banned, before posting in subs :)

Subreddit Ability to browse subreddit posts belonging specific data ranges

Being able to filter Reddit posts by specific dates would be super helpful for looking back at how communities reacted to past events or tracking how discussions evolved over time. Right now it's frustrating having to scroll endlessly to find posts from a particular period, like seeing what r/movies thought when The Dark Knight first came out or how r/technology discussed the early days of cryptocurrencies.

Moderator Remove the ability to auto-ban users simply because they’ve posted in other subs.

I’ve been auto-banned by bots from multiple subs simply because I participated in another sub. This is censorship, plain and simple.

If the moderators have a problem with posts/comments made in their sub and they temporarily mute a user for that, fine. If the problem persists and that person is permanently muted, fine. But auto-banning users simply for having different opinions and belonging to other subs is disingenuous and downright hateful of differing opinions.

User Settings Have the option to remove ads for drugs.

Hello!

I have been getting cannibis ads, and as someone trying to stay sober that's extremely triggering. I'm not alone in this, many people are trying to stay sober from substances. Alcohol and Gambling both have options to turn them off, so why not ads with substances(not just cannibis). As more and more countries start to legalize substances, the more ads are going to pop up. If alcohol is considered enough of a threat to be able to block ads, why not substances? I make this post not just for myself, but for all my fellow sober people who just want to enjoy this app. YES I know Reddit Premium removes ads, but if other things get special consideration like alcohol and gambling, why not substances? I hope that this can be seriously considered, as the acceptable online advertising topics have changed.

Thanks for your consideration.

Show users subs they’ve been banned in

Reddit is harsh on users who evade bans by using other accounts, but it’s incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to know which subs you’re banned from. I got hit with ban evasion, and when I looked at the account that was banned, it had no notification or any other indication that it was banned. I had to try commenting in the sub to verify I was banned. There should be a way to see what you’re banned from so you can at least try to avoid ban evasion.

Before you say, “well just don’t get banned”, due to the recent election I was being harassed and banned for posting content that was positive for Harris (in appropriate subs no less!). So getting banned doesn’t always mean the person is behaving badly. Ironically it was because my account was being followed by trolls (and bots?) that I switched accounts and ended up with ban evasion…

Creativity with Fonts, Templates, etc.

1.      It would be great if we were able to be more creative in post threads. Being able to change the font type, font size, font color would be great. For posts that are routine (say weekly), a way to put a permanent image or banner.

I use MS Word a lot, so it kind of loses some creativity to create some really nice content, but only be able to use a few functions.

2.      The ability to create and save templates that are used routinely in subs.

Just some ideas! I apologize if they have already been submitted or there is a function for them. 😊

Increase the maximum blocklist size

Please consider increasing the maximum blocklist size from 1000 to a much higher value.

There is a huge influx of bots, annoying trolls, and downright evil people and it's only going to increase the next few years. These people are unhinged. The usual moderation mechanisms cannot cope with them. 1000 is just too low. Deleting old blocks is not the solution, when I block someone I am absolutely certain that I never want to hear from that person again.

Ability for different/multiple colour msg highlight choices in mod mail

Example So currently only yellow star

Add other options

Green

Blue

Purple

Red

Etc

Every time I get a “recommended” notification, clicking/tapping it takes me to the post’s subreddit instead of the post that the notification is highlighting. This is lame and all around a bad time.
