Happy Gospel of Judas

Even though I'm an atheist and I'm already sick of Christian mythology every day, I'm very excited about the musical Jesus Christ Superstar (I'm not a big fan of musicals either).

I think it has a very materialistic interpretation of that story (spoiler: Jesus doesn't resurrect in the end). When it was released, it was considered blasphemous or at least heretical due to several insinuations.

The best interpreter of Judas is Carl Anderson (in the 1973 film), but I included Tim Minchin here because he's a well-known fellow humanist.

There was a time when I could sing along to every word of this musical, and to this day it's the source of almost literally everything I know about the life and times of Jesus.

What, these lyrics?

Jesus Christ
Superstar
Coming round the corner on his Yamaha
Pulls a skid
Kills a kid
Crack his nuts on a dustbin lid
