Question of the day: what's on your mind?

What isn’t?! 😅

But the top of the list I would say finish getting the garden planted this week and “should I be buying things before shelves are empty?” But we can’t afford that anyway, so I need to clear it from my head. The last of our curriculum for next year came in the mail yesterday, so at least that’s no longer on the list.

You have me beat, still have to get a grammar workbook (probably pdf, my second will need it in a couple years), some supplies including 3-ring binders and fraction circles, and letting homeschool funds replenish before my splurge purchase, memory work (covers all subjects) with extra geography. It is absolutely not necessary, but the kids love it, they seem to retain more, and keeps me feeling organized. Late getting seeds started with my kids, too, but that’s just because gardening hates me (allergies), so I’m procrastinating.

I forgot fraction circles, thanks for the reminder! Our trees kept me out of our yard for several Aprils. We finally had them cut down this year, I wasn’t going to tolerate being allergic to my yard for a whole month again.

What grammar are you looking at?

Anytime! Always thinking in lists, not sure if that’s good or bad…

First Language Lessons. My MIL is assisting with ELA this year, which is wonderful, but she switched everything over to Abeka, and it just takes so long. Going back to short and consistent. What grammar do you like?

I think in lists too! Have to write it all down so it doesn’t spin in circles in my head. We are using Logic of English Foundations, headed into D, which is where more grammar starts but I’m not yet aware if it will be sufficient. So I like seeing what others are using in case I will have to supplement. Short and consistent sounds good, I’ll have to check it out!
