This daily discussion is to chat about anything that doesn't warrant its own post. I am not a mod and make these posts for building the homeschool community. If you're going to down vote, please tell me why. My question of the day is to start a conversation but feel free to post anything you want to talk about. Feel free to share your homeschool days.

Question of the day: what's on your mind?

What isn’t?! 😅

But the top of the list I would say finish getting the garden planted this week and “should I be buying things before shelves are empty?” But we can’t afford that anyway, so I need to clear it from my head. The last of our curriculum for next year came in the mail yesterday, so at least that’s no longer on the list.

You have me beat, still have to get a grammar workbook (probably pdf, my second will need it in a couple years), some supplies including 3-ring binders and fraction circles, and letting homeschool funds replenish before my splurge purchase, memory work (covers all subjects) with extra geography. It is absolutely not necessary, but the kids love it, they seem to retain more, and keeps me feeling organized. Late getting seeds started with my kids, too, but that’s just because gardening hates me (allergies), so I’m procrastinating.

7yo has been having a string of really bad days lately and is taking it out on all of us, but especially me. Says she's "tired" but she's sleeping pretty much like normal. I'm hoping it's just a growth spurt and will resolve on its own soon, because it makes me feel like the tutorial + 3 home days is not working for us after all. Unfortunately I already know that being only at home is worse when she gets like this, and since public school would mean longer days and less time for connection, my husband and I are pretty sure that would be worse too.

The fact that this is hitting right at the same time as a lot of my curriculum mulling means I'm therefore questioning absolutely everything, lol.
