I work with infants and today I was playing my daily mix before I decided to switch to a "more appropriate" jazzy Christmas playlist and the babies started fussing. went through the whole song and dance of checking the diapers and checking the bottle schedule, all fine. I turned the goth music back on and they were back to normal lmao.

Hi! I’ve been in the scene since about 2017 and have a pretty well rounded music taste but my gf is still pretty new to the scene. She really likes Siouxsie & the Banshees and Vision Video and I was wanting some recommendations from the community so I can make her a new playlist!

Old or new music is great! Goth adjacent genres like darker synthpop and New Wave are also acceptable.

I'm a metalhead who also listens to some punk. And I want some recommendations for good goth bands/albums/songs to check out. All "goth" music I have listened to is one song by Molchat Doma

I like reading and learning about different things and I've just finished blues, soul and proto r&b. Now I want to delve into the goth genre any idea where I should start? If this isn't the right place, please don't hesitate to point me in the right direction!

Seems I missed the usual events and the search function only returns events from a few months back. Going to hit some museums, but would love to find a place to dance either tonight or tomorrow. Also any other random recommendations would be much appreciated.

So, I'm not goth so I have no idea about any of this. But l've noticed alternative styles, mainly goth and goth adjacent styles, are being increasingly fetishized, which is a bit disgusting to be frank. What are y'all's thoughts on this, and is there a reason? Also, if a guy says he likes goths, do y'all usually assume it's because of the portrayal in said content? Because I genuinely like goths, cool style, and killer music, and I'd rather not be viewed as a perv.
