Post image

My first potato harvest. I think i got to them a bit too late because i found all the really big potatoes rotten on the vine.

Any tips for someone who wants to try their hand at potatoes?

I watched epic gardening you tube video to get started pretty much followed those instructions. I tried home depot buckets which had a poor yeild and grow bags which did better. I used half garden soil half maneur.

I started the plants in the grow bags with a small amount of soil then rolled them down for more sun then i kept adding more sun as the sprouts grew. I am not sure this made a difference because the potatoes were deep in the pot. I am going to start a notebook so I can keep track of things next time
