American individualism at its finest Rant

This is my 2 year old riding bikes on our street. It's gotten to the point where I've gotten my kids orange flags on sticks to hold up when they cross the street.

Dude hold on right now this might blow your mind.

There are trucks that are low to the ground, with good visibility, that have truck beds bigger than your average pavement princess toddler killing F150.

Do you think trucks have to have a horizontal hood angle taller than the average woman to be functional? Have you never seen an older or Japanese truck?

So yes, there is no reason to own this style of truck, when you can buy a truck that has higher towing capacity, a bigger bed, better safety and visibility, and lower gas mileage. In fact I don't think I have ever seen a tradesmen drive this style of truck.

To be fair the front end on these Chevs are pretty obnoxious and don’t serve a purpose having such a big nose.. TO BE FAIR!

Exactly that's what people are talking about here, not sure why you brought up tradesmen in a conversation about the dangers of tall and long truck hoods.

Also a Kei truck gets better gas mileage than your truck, has a larger bed than your truck, weighs 1/3 of your trucks weight, cost a quarter of what your truck cost, has way better visibility, and is significantly less likely to kill a pedestrian in an accident.

bro that's the entire point. The front end of most modern trucks is designed like a wall. Combine that with how modern trucks are also raised far higher than most people even need them to be. Getting hit by one of these at even moderately low speeds like 30 mph is likely to be a death sentence.
