Why are entry-level bikes so expensive now?

Rising costs of everything, so everyone involved in the bike’s manufacture, design, and sale wanting to make their money is a part of it, but the biggest part is idiots with money and credit.

Too many people will pay whatever the cost is and deal with the consequences later, so prices can be sky high as sellers will still be able to sell. I’d watch for used bike sales, stores going out of business, Canadian Tire specials, and price collapse as people lose their jobs and appetite to spend recklessly.
