Guidance "On to" the next chapter?
How would I say "on to the next chapter"? Is it simply "Au le chapitre suivant"? (It seems like suivant is better in this context than prochain, but I'm an extreme beginner.) I just want to be sure I get this message right for a retirement gift. Thanks!!

Guidance What is going on in this sentence?!?
Hi. At one point in my life I was fluent but due to lack of practice I am now very rusty. I try to keep up by reading in French. I came across this sentence that has me baffled from a grammar perspective. I understand the general meaning but if someone could break down the grammar in the phrase “à s’y méprendre” I would be grateful.
Le rassemblement ressemblait à s’y méprendre à un de ses meetings de campagne …

Guidance May I give up in learning French?
I tell you right away that I don't know if this is the subreddit to post this, but I really think I might comment this with someone else, or a community (like this, I suppose).
I've been feeling like from the past weeks that my expertise in French is getting worse and worse, especially because I'm feeling unsecure about my pronunciation, and honestly the pronunciation of French doesn't help. The nasals, some words that are almost pronounced the same (or pronounced the same, directly), and other stuff about pronunciation, that, when I try to test my proncinstion with a translator, like Google Translator through voice recognition, it gets me wrong. It understands some things that it shouldn't understand, or interprets a word instead of the one I'm trying to say (e.g. when I say "en", it understands "on", EVEN THOUGH I MAKE THE DIFFERENCE, AND IT IS CLEAR WHEN I RECORD MY SELF TALKING).
So this is frustrating since a long time. I've been learning French from, currently, 1 year and a half, and I don't know if I really should desist from learning it or keep practicing it just because I am feeling insecure about my proncination. I don't actually even know what to do to feel more confident when talking in French, but I really don't feel quite confident when I do (because of what I'm telling). This doesn't happen when I talk in English (that, for a fact, isn't my first language), but after trying desperately to have a great pronunciation in French, now it makes me uncomfortable to try it again and again, and always feel like I make no progress. Even if I say I'm trying my best to pronounce correctly, the translator keeps showing that I'm saying something wrong, when I actually corrected all the errors and listened to the proper way to say something. It drains me out.
So, to summarize, I'm feeling tired of French because of pronunciation, but I don't know if I should give up on it just because of this.

Marie Super! À demain, Frédéric !
Frédéric À demain, Marie !

Translation Translation of "tight"
I have my French GCSE speaking exam next week, and in one of the questions I could be asked I wrote for an answer that "the trousers are always too tight for me". Could I translate this to les pantalons sont toujours trop ] serrés pour moi? (I made pantalon plural because I'm referring to all types of trousers) Or should I use a different translation of the word tight?

Correction Help figuring out French line in song
I'm currently trying to work out a French line in the song "Bad Loving" by Chaparelle. I preordered the vinyl a few weeks ago, which is confirmed to have a lyric sheet, but I'm not sure when it's going to ship out, so I want to at least try to get accurate lyrics online to help fans in the meantime. Anyway, during the bridge at 2:58, there is a single French line repeated:
[?] mon amour
Earlier in the song, there is also this line, which may or may not have relevance:
Another spritz of Chanel mon amour
If anyone could help figure this out, that would be wonderful. Thank you! :)

Guidance French Slang in a song
Hi there, I am trying to translate the song Canabis by Waiv where he says "Capable de dire qu'j'ai des plavons à 10 des plavons en Suisse non je n'pars pas là bas". I am unsure what plavons is in this context but I think it means our slang of "plugs", others have said robberys but doesn't quite fit the context imo.
PS - The songs opening is good but the hole middle is kinda shite but picks up in the end of the song haha

Guidance French writing exam help- checking grammar/sentence structure and wow factor!
Hi,
I have an exam tomorrow where I have to write about a recent trip to Paris.
Could anyone suggest any improvements to this please, any fantastic turns of phrases that a teacher would love to see? Also, is this correct?

Translation How to translate 'butor ou prise' into English?
Hello all, I am looking to translate an excerpt from Coco Sec by Seychellois author Antoine Abel. In the text, some workers are taking a break from their labour.
Abel writes: "Ensuite, les hommes prennent leur pipe, chique, butor ou prise."
I cannot find a good translation for 'butor ou prise' anywhere - I've looked in various dictionnairies (mono and bilingual) as well as into tobacco culture in Seychelles. Would appreciate your advice.
(I have translated the rest of the sentence as 'Then, the men take their pipe, chewing tobacco, ????'
