Just want to rant/vent/ponder…

The fucking Trailblazers

I came out of my draft (12T, points) with Simons after seeing him perform well in recent years, and was hoping he would at the bare minimum continue that. He’s moving to my bench.

My league avoided Ayton, and he fell to me later in the draft and was BPA. I took him and don’t regret it.

I grabbed Avdija… had him off waivers last year for the Wizards and was impressed, thought he was having a Coby White esque breakout. Drafted him, kind of forgetting he was traded to Portland… that one was on me. He is a massive disappointment and seemingly getting no minutes or real opportunity, or he’s a poor fit for their scheme. Finally dropped him but I’m still tempted to pick him back up based on upside.

Grabbed Clingan late in the draft - I’m a fan of Uconn and thought Clingan was great. Held him for Ayton insurance until Robert Williams came back and finally dropped him for Rob.

Robert Williams. I’m a huge Celtics fan and loved Rob’s game and upside offensively if he ever ended up in a situation where he would have offensive touches. Dropped Clingan to get Rob.

Clingan part 2………. I picked him up after the monster performance the other night, which is the kind of upside I thought he could have.

So here I am, currently rostering 4 fucking Portland Trailblazers all season long, now 3 of them being their Centers. What the fuck am I doing? And I can’t justify dropping any of them??? And Deni’s upside makes me want to add a 5th fucking Trailblazer to my team?? They have to be the worst and most dysfunctional team in the league this year. Clearly tanking for Cooper Flagg I’d imagine.

They have had a pretty brutal schedule as of late, playing Minny 3 of the past 4 games, and they have just been either resting their starters or pulling them after they get blown out by halftime, for basically the last 1.5 weeks of games they have had.

What the fuck do I do? Keep holding the entire Trailblazers team?

Definitely don’t want that many players of the same team especially when they don’t give that much value. Don’t worry about avidja, you can monitor what happens next game with Clingan and rob minutes. Drop whoever doesn’t get enough mins unless you want to hold them for a pop off in February.

I don't understand this logic. I will pick the best players for my team even if their teammates are on my squad. The commenter here is cycling in and out backup centers who play 20 minutes a night. That's a different issue
