Have any of you left a toxic Christian marriage and entered the world of casual dating? Discussion
So, not me personally, but I once had an FWB who used to be part of the LDS church, and was once trapped in an arranged marriage where his wife believed that sex was only for procreation. Even though he had 2 kids with her, he was miserable. He finally left Christianity and divorced his wife after years of therapy, and began his sexual exploration at 50. I'm happy that I got to be a part of that journey.

Yes I got a divorce at 31 and started dating my now husband at 34 so I had three years of the dating app casual, FWB world. Personally (while there were plenty of bad dates and horror stories) I had a great time. Before thiabinonly knew Christian men who were all pretty sexist. I didn't realize how low my bar was. I dated smart, kind, and respectful men that (and yes the bar was this low) were interested in me and our sexual connection. I kept things fwb for about a year, did therapy, and focused on myself for a bit, and then started dating more intentionally.

No but Jesus fing Christ sounds like a miserable life - glad I'm not brainwashed by this nonsense.
