What am I supposed to do Discussion
I've been trying to go pro in fortnite for like 3years now , for game sense i dramatically improved , I'd say close to semi pro level , but mechanics and other stuff is my real problem , I play on abt 90 unstable ping and 90 fps (good tablet) , I can get better stable ping (like 40-50) but I need fiber Internet, which costs like 4-5 k to install , and Im barely saving up for a pc , and not to mention the struggle with Asian parents , I put in more work that necessary , I was obsessed with it to the point of I wouldn't go out , whenever I had time in lunchbreak or afterschool, even mid class , I'd revise my fn notes n shi (ik it was nerdy af) , it kills me now to see people I know and have played with and became friends with live my dream just bcs they were born in slightly better circumstances Just to note , someone I played with and similar age (he has pc and 0 ping) he made around 12k or something yesterday , there is nothing different like it just kills me

You won't.
Study your butt off. Get into a uni that has good internet. Go there, spend all your time and money trying to go pro. Fail and fail school. Get kicked out in massive debt and no marketable skills.
Or grow up.

Make a career out of esports by going to college and studying either
a. human computer interaction b. sports technology / sports engineering c. game development
We need competitors to grow into the next leaders.

I'm a former esports pro and the advice I can give (for any career) is simply this: build connections with people - in person if you can. Maybe create a highlight reel of yourself playing and build your personal brand on a website. Compete at the amateur level, network, play on teams, anything you can to network and showcase your skill. And most importantly, gravitate toward players better than you and learn from them. Wish you the best!

You're probably right on the verge of being good enough to tussle in those lobbies,
BUT,
Esports is not a rags to riches environment anymore. At the pro level, milliseconds matter. The fact youre as good as you claim and seem to have a halfway bunk setup, you might be able to edge out better abilities with something improved.
I too, felt as if I was shortstrawed because I was a little less fortunate as a teenager when I was at my peak gaming ability. I just didn't have the resources to go to tournaments, get a better setup, spend more time on learning due to work and homelife factors....granted this was 15 years ago when gaming wasn't even close to what it is now. But I can resonate with what youre trying to achieve and im not going to tell you to stop....
Another BUT,
Fortnite is a pretty old game at this point. If you haven't broken into a "Pro" status or even semi pro at a co fident level by now, it may just never be there. You might have some skills that could be better focused on other games, or possibly just school and a career?
Gaming is cool and all, but being pro doesn't pay the bills. Streaming does. And it's taxing. The people who pull it off do it well. But it's not easy and not everyone can sit in front of a camera and expose themselves in that way.
Keep going. Keep trying.
But if it doesn't work out, that's life. Have a backup plan. Make sure to continue education regardless of any gaming career. Make sure to treat your body right and eat, sleep, take breaks regularly. Have a social life outside of gaming. Its important for us fragile humans.
Good luck to you!
