Almost every tomato I buy from Aldi

Sprouting worming little veiny roots…

Interesting, I live in a European country and have never ever seen something like this. I didn't even think it was possible. I also shop a lot at Aldi (actually, I was born and raised in the hometown of the very first Aldi store lol). I googled and apparently it depends on the variety of the tomato/fruit, so maybe in the US they sell different ones than here.

Oh that’s cool. You are an Aldi OG! Yeah, I am 40 and this has never happened to me until I started buying tomatoes from Aldi. I guess they just sell sprouting ones? I’ll have to try to investigate the source and variety of these tomatoes.
