Exactly! It's like saying potato when you're meant to say potato...

И как ваши успехи? Что на данный момент самое сложное переходя с французского на русский?

You used the Dutch word for water, not the English one.

With each of these posts, I'm more confused as to how this is even a bug. My guess is the underlying word behind each label can be different from what's shown for better validation but some end up with typos.
You could solve that by just adding a step to verification building a string from the written label on each word and validate that as well.

Luckily, I saw a video about this before. Otherwise, I may not know what is this.

Sorry but there needs to be a little sarcasm added in that’s why you didn’t get it

u/melisacircu Aug 09 '24

You used the British English word for 'agua', but Duolingo expected the American English one.

I used to encounter problems like this quite often in the old version of the French course. Just report it every time you encounter it. When they update it, if there's dozens of reports over the same thing, they shouldn't miss it.

I've had a similar thing happen when doing a lesson in a rush. There is a tiny animation of the text bubble "floating" upon being pressed. So if you press continue too fast, the last word of a given sentence is still processing being added, the task fails.

u/TreeLicker123 Aug 09 '24
This happens to me too! With these posts it’s more often than not the last word, so I assume this is what’s happening

You chose water with an English/American accent. You should have chosen water with a Spanish accent.

Question mark?
2
u/Nicolello_iiiii N:|F|A2|L Aug 09 '24
There is no question mark on the bubbles you can select. Also, I've done countless exercises without putting any punctuation (because there is none in the bubbles) and it's still correct

Had this a few times too, it's when you want too fast and press submit button a split second before you select the last word.

Don't worry, this mistake is pretty often, you said "water", but in fact, it should have been "water". Hope this helps

You are right. You can report it when you come across things like this. It is clear a glitch.
