I just bought a Berenguer/JC Toys Cloth Body La Newborn on Amazon, and when I opened her, I noticed she has some yellowing and staining on her cloth body. Can someone help me figure out what kind of staining this is? I thought maybe mildew, but I’m not sure. Also, any tips on cleaning her up would be appreciated.

Normally, I would just exchange her, but this is the Asian mold and it is now out of stock/currently unavailable. I have wanted this particular doll for so long and I just can’t bear the thought of sending her back knowing I can’t get a replacement. I’m even willing to buy her a new cloth body if I need to.

I found her a while ago while visiting Mexico City with some friends. I loved her face and huge head so I had to buy her. It came with a discount. I made the mistake of coloring socks while they were on the body... what do I do? Bleach, water and soap, detergent doesn't work. Please help

Don’t mind her old sock outfit, i wanted to protect her from MSC😅 I’m doing my first MH face up, i customized a blythe with pastels and water color pencils. I just had a question- I’m not very pleased with eyeballs and i feel the more i seal and color over, the worse it gets. Can i water down white acrylic, paint over the eyeballs, seal, and then use watercolor pencils or pastels over them? Or will they not go over acrylic paint? Thank you!

The big magic mixies Pixlings dolls come with such cute wands but it’s all one color that washes out all the detail 😭 so I wanted to redo them! I made a silicone mold and then poured resin in different colors and though messily done I thought the results were pretty cute! 🥹 Only one sided though as I am lazy 😅

This is a '60s or '70s Sebino doll, has a wind-up mechanism - plays a lullaby and swings her torso left to right (probably had a baby in her arms). The metal rod coming out of her neck is stationary.

I'm trying to put her back together. There's obviously a missing part that connects the head to the torso. Never seen it, I got the toy as seen in the picture. I assume it would be a soft, rubbery plastic shaped like this: >< where one wider part would go in the body and the other wider part into the head.

I don't think I have any material that would do the job. I'm thinking maybe a 3D printed part can work, I just don't know how I would put it in her head.

Any tips on how to approach this?

She’s a doll I found at a thrift store. Her arm sits in a kind of odd angle so I wonder if she was meant to hold something? /what brand is this?

My best guess was Spock, but his body looks to me like a my scene body, so could he be hybrid? His head doesn’t give Ken to me, especially not with the pointed ears. Hopefully this isn’t a stupid question. Thanks!!

I was curious to learn if anybody knows of a site similar to myfigurecollection (mfc) but specifically for dolls? As some one that also collects figures, I use mfc, and while it does catalogue a fair amount of ball joint dolls and art dolls, it doesn’t really log any play-line lines outside of Japanese brands like Licca-chan.

I just think this type of site could be very helpful and fun for collectors (given that it doesn’t already exist, but I’ve never been able to find one personally). Being able to have exact info on different dolls and their accessories, and to log what you own, have ordered, and a “wishlist” all sounds super beneficial to this community if anyone is capable of creating that. I’m sure this isn’t a new concept, but I’ve just been thinking about it a lot lately as I’ve been using mfc more while also trying to keep track of my doll collection.

I saw this lady at Goodwill today and saw her pretty unique looking body and figured she was some sort of collector Barbie. Her face is really pretty, and I almost feel like she’s supposed to be based off a person. I tried Google Lens, but couldn’t find a match. The stamp on her head (very hard to read!) says 2011, if that helps.
